Two Birds

This reminds me of a tapestry or screen with the clean lines of the "Inspiration Mosaic" background and delicate bird and branch images from Rupa's "Home Tweet Home". Start with the grid and then stamp the birds into each space, doesn't it set them off beautifully? Your really zoom in on them separately, but then also as a pair. The images are stamped on Pure luxury Ivory, colored with Copics and matted on Creamy Caramel CS. I masked the outside of the frame and covered the rectangles with the birds inside before sponging some green to the bottom and pink to the top. The card is finished!

I liked the simplicity of it so much, I decided not to add any ribbon or embellishments. Would you like to see a "more is more" version of this card?? It can be done! ;)

I will be posting some pics of using the stamp on your block as well as making the masks I recommend you have for this set, stay tuned!

  3. Melanie you have outdone yourself with this card! It is so beautiful and it feels so comfortable. I have seen most of the cards that have been created using this stamp, and I know I cannot live without it!! I am a senior citizen and on a very limited budget so will have to save up for this, but I sure hope it won't take me long! Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful talent!

  7. I REALLY like your new stamp. It is truly a TOOL stamp rather than an image stamp which makes it a GREAT investment. I will put it on my have-to-have list.

  11. This card is so lovely!! I, for one, would appreciate more info on how you made this card because I don't quite understand what you did. A little more info on your previous mosaic card with the flowers would be helpful to me, too. Thanks, Melanie.
