Quotable Kids

"Mom, you know what I like about you?
Whenever I'm having fun
and I look over and smile at you,

you always smile back."

William, age 6, 10/10/11

Got an incredibly clever, seriously sweet or perfectly priceless quote from one of your kids? ;) Please share! :)

Sorry no cards to share still, we just had a fun family three-day weekend! More soon!

  1. My husband was sitting in his chair and my daughter was behind him. She looked at the back of his head (he was balding) and said "Dad! You've got skin on top of your head!". She's 21 now and that comment comes up all the time. :)

  2. my best friend's granddaughter told her the "sad is running down my face" when she was crying, and when my daughter was three we were dyeing Easter eggs and I told her "tonight the Easter bunny will come and hide your eggs and tomorrow we'll get up an hunt 'em" She said "Will we use a gun?"

  3. When my daughter was in preschool, now 28, the teacher was trying to teach them all about feelings. She wasn't getting through to them so she finally said......okay say someone hit you.....yup, they all yelled out *someone hit me* :)

  4. OMGosh! LOL. I have a whole book of these!! One of my FAVS.... My hubby and daughter went to his mom's one day (she lives an hour away). When they came back Emily informed me she had a "chicken wing ice cream" while there. My husband laughed and told her, "Nooo, you had a drumstick ice cream.". :-)

  5. What a great quote and a testament to your awesome Momma Love!

When Weston was about 3, he said to my husband, "When I grow up, I'm going to have a lady like Mommy, but not Mommy...Actually, I'm going to have two ladies to take care of me!"

  6. We always joke about my littlest one, saying to her father, on her way home from church, "Dad, drive like you have to go to the bathroom, not like I do!"

  7. My grandson (3) woke up one morning with a terrible cough, fever, aches and ear infection. He was crying and told his mom "Mommy, I broke myself, I broke myself".

  8. OH I LOVE kid quotes, lol! Especially from my grandson Blake...this weekend, as they were leaving, as he is sitting in the back seat of the car....he ALWAYS tells PeePaw, 'you my bessfran!!' (yes he has a terrible hick accent, lol!) And then this time...he looks at me and says, 'Gammy, just cause PeePaw is my bessfran, doesn't mean I don't love you too. I always think of you and smile!' :D:D:D

  9. I think my favorite while raising my children is this one...I was having my third child and was scheduled for a C Section on the next monday. Well my husband was meeting his brother so he wasn't home when suddenly my water broke on Saturday. Now remember this was 26 years ago way way way b4 cell phones but my brother-in-law who my husband was meeting owned a towing business so I was able to call his wife to tell her to radio my husband that my water broke and to get home to take me to the hospital. I then heard water running in our bathroom in the hallway. I walked in to see my 3 year old son had turned on the water while he looked at me and said but Mom the water isn't broke! I will NEVER forget that moment, it was wayyyy tooo funny!

  10. My daughter had her third son and when her 6 year old arrived at the hospital after school that day he looked at the new baby and said "he turned out better than I thought". We don't know exactly what he expected.
