Inspiration Hop Day 2: Sweet Strawberries and Vintage Notes

Good morning! Welcome to day 2 of our Gina K Designs new release hops!Gina and the Design Team will inspire you with many beautiful ideas, and as you hop through their blogs, make sure to leave a comment on each of them because we will choose a few random comments and those stampers will each win a grab bag of deeply etched, pre-cut Gina K. Designs stamps! To see the full list of winners check the Big News forum at Stamp TV a couple of days after the hops! First up we have Theresa Momber's Sweet Strawberries! Such a sweet, feminine set and so fun to color! That frozen drink image just makes me thirst how about you?
Lacey Borders is stamped on Pure Luxury Jelly Bean Green in Ranger Crushed Olive Distressing Ink. I put all four of the borders on the large square block and stamped once, great background, one step!

Die cut is Spellbinders Splendid Circles. Card base is Pure Luxury Red hot and tag is Ocean Mist. You'll see scraps of this Pure Luxury red Carpet Designer paper over the next few days, I was loving it with everything! here the sweet white and aqua polka dot and diamond pattern on red was just perfect with the strawberry seeds! This photo shows Copic colors.

Next up we have Tami Mayberry's Vintage Notes. perfect for making lists of all kinds practical or fantastical very fun for shopping, to do, or cute card and scrapbooking elements.
Here I made a list of reasons "i love" my husband! After stamping out my memo page and writing my list, I free cut the i and u from Pure Luxury Back Onyx and made a heart from that red carpet scrap. The spiral clips dot the i! :) I used Kraft for the base and distressed it with Vintage Photo Ink direct to paper.
I think these little message would be perfect lunch box stuffers for my kids as well to let them know (top secret!) I'm thinking about them.* (How fun to hide some little clue lists around the house, the worn pages make me think less of "vintage" but actually my own childhood Harriet the Spy type adventures! ;) Very fun set!

Now check out all the amazing designs and inspiration from our team:

*By the way, I discovered the other day that apparently the statute of limitations on visiting my older son at lunch is up, 4th grade! I offered to bring him some fast food one day as a treat but he kept saying no thanks and I wondered is he was feeling okay? Teh kid who normally goes nuts for that rare treat would rather have a bagged lunch? Finally I figured out, slow on the uptake, "None of the moms come up to lunch in your class, do they?" "Nope, not unless the kid forgets to bring it." Oh, okay, wahh! At least William still asks all the time, and even crawls onto in my lap after he finishes eating...enjoying while it lasts!

Inspiration Hop, Day 1: Basket Additions 2 and Lacey Borders

Good morning, thanks so much for visiting today!  The Design Team for Gina K. Designs welcomes you to another fabulous Inspiration Blog Hop for the new sets! Gina and the Design Team will inspire you with many beautiful ideas, and as you hop through the blogs, make sure to leave a comment on each of them because we will choose a few random comments and those stampers will each win a grab bag of deeply etched, pre-cut Gina K. Designs stamps! To see the full list of winners check the Big News forum at Stamp TV a couple of days after the hops.
I hope you were able to make it to party yesterday! If not, stay tuned to see samples for all our new sets form the party over the next few days during our hops, plus lots more! I am so excited to share my newest addition to the basket series, Basket Additions 2, with all the upcoming spring and summery occasions not included in the first Basket Additions set, working for year round birthdays, gardening, baby showers, Mother's Day or bestie cards, vacations, patriotic picnics, and more! These new toppers fit both the Spring Basket and Holiday Basket, so have fun mixing and matching! This first card show the beach/pool topper with Holiday Basket.

Card base is Pure Luxury Wild Dandelion, sky is white sponged with Broken China Distressing Ink, and water is, of course, Pure Luxury Turquoise Sea! Tear a mound of sand for Kraft and use a brown marker to stipple a little stirred up sand under the basket. The sun was free cut from Gina K Pure Luxury Petals & Wings DP, that mottled print just gives this summer day a bit of shimmer and sparkle to sunlight without adding glitter!
There's no picnic as fun for me as a summer one where you anticipate fireworks, homemade ice cream, sparklers and juicy watermelon! Gingham DP, like a checked blanket or tablecloth is Pure Luxury Pool Side. Cardbase is Red Hot and tag is Innocent Pink. Love how WOO HOO fits onto the banner pennants perfectly with the space in between! ;)
Holiday Basket and Basket Additions 2 topper are stamped directly onto a white mat, so the only cut out is the banner. You could stamp the banner first, then mask and stamp the basket over it if prefer not cutting, but I love the dimension it adds to that detail an the overall design. Red bakers twine is the perfect finishing touch!

I will come back to share what Copic colors I used in which areas in another post, I just don't have it ready! Looking forward to showing you what else I made with the baby, birthday, gardening and spa topper (just in time for Mother's Day!) ;)
Next up, the best trim set, evah!! Seriously, would you look at these gorgeous pieces of lace in Gina's new Lacey Borders? They are just the prettiest most delicate and realistic looking ones I've seen and they stamp like a dream.

You will add so much elegance and oomph to your cards with these, and now you can have 4 different trims that can also be stamped together to make wider borders, in every color that you have powder, ink or flock!  LOVE!
Look how simple it is to put together a gorgeous card with this set. Stamp in Memento Tuxedo Black one way then turn and stamp the other. Add greeting below and embellish with some white and ivory buttons and a mix of paper and silk flowers and mount on Black Onyx base. Perfect wedding, anniversary or "I love you" card!
Be sure to come back Monday when I show you a fabulous tone on tone background for another one of our new release sets using all four borders!

I really hope to see a basket for summer, beach balls, sports basket, summer themes, watermelon, etc. This appears to go with the Holiday basket and the spring basket. Can't wait. Each time there is a release, I promise to be good, and then I fall short of my promise. Too easy to indulge in the beautiful stamps. Love your stamp sets.
