Video: Zip it Good! Creating Purse Cards with a Zipper Stamp

Hello! Check out these gorgeous designer bags!  Oh, wait, they're cards! :) In today's video, I'm going to show you how to make elegant purse cards with the zipper stamp from my Triple Play Fillers set!  Zippered bags are on trend and the embossed zippers makes these look so real that very little else is required! I also share an easy way to design different purse shapes without using a template, plus tips for notching the zipper and incorporating embossing folders to add fun textures. Have fun surfing the web for purse images as inspiration to be your own “handbag designer”! A similar design would also make great diaper bag cards for baby showers. (Hmm, maybe I need to do that for my next video!*  Tell me if so in the comments below!)

TIP: To make the zippers meet in a “V”, the midway point of the bottom of this card is 2 3/4”. You can make a tiny mark at the bottom (before doing any shaping at the corners), and then stamp the zipper each time going through this mark.

Supplies:
Gina K. Designs Triple Play Fillers
Gina K. Pure Luxury Black Onyx (5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼ and ½” x 2”) and gold cardstock ¾” x 2 ¼”cardstock  ( use Red Hot base for second purse shown)
Versamark ink pad
Goosebumps A2 Whimsy Embossing folder
Cuttlebug machine and plates (use this stack: base plate, B plate, open card inside folder, 2nd B plate)

Scissors, adhesive, heat gun, gold embossing powder

*I found the "label" stamp, hurray! (Right after I finished the video. Of course!)
