Video: Faux Wood Grain and Pieced Panels

Good morning! In today’s video, I will show you a quick and easy faux wood grain technique with ink and cardstock.  This direct to paper technique is so versatile and is great for masculine cards or any time you want to add a touch of texture or nature to your design. The Inspiration Mosaic (clear or rubber-limited stock!) stamp set is perfect for this technique because it looks like joined panels. Changing the direction of the grain, along with some simple paper piecing, creates a very interesting, parquet-like pattern.

As you can see, this set plays well with one of her other popular frame sets, Branching Out! Sponging and masking completes the look. Lots of techniques and tips packed into this video, so please enjoy! Be sure to watch to the end to see how you can later use the extra pieces of the frame to make a second, beautiful project. Note: Inspiration Mosaic stamp set is now available in clear photopolymer and will be demonstrated with the new clear version in videos moving forward. J

These projects today, plus 34 more, for my frame sets are in my book! Purchase Fabulous Stamped Frames book here
