Good morning! The Cast and Crew for Gina K Designs welcomes you to another fabulous Inspiration Blog Hop! As you hop through each of the designers' blogs, make sure to leave a comment on each of them because we will choose a random comment and that stamper will win a grab bag of Gina K. Designs products! To see who won,  check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hop.

Today we are featuring the fabulous new set The Wetlands by Theresa Momber. What man wouldn't like a card with these gorgeous bird and outdoorsy silhouettes? Definitely one for your collection.  I am loving the Christmas Pine Pure Luxury cardstock with this mallard. I colored him with Spectrum Noir markers: GT2, JG6, EB6, BG1,LY3, and CT4.
I also reversed the stamp on a piece of acetate to create a slight reflection on the water, and sponged in some GKD Dark Sage and GKD Ocean Mist for the water. Silhouettes are stamped in Dark Sage.  Belt and greeting are stamped in GKD Charcoal Brown.  It was hard to get a good angle to show off the dimension and shine in the photo, but I embossed the belt buckle with gold metallic powder. No embellishments needed!

I can't get enough of this belt from Triple Play Fillers as a border to go with these images! If you missed our party, this is the card that I made for the release party challenge, just one layer. Pure Luxury Ivory cardstock, Lemon Drop, Dark Chocolate and Peach Bellini inks. Easy peasy! Love these sets together!

Inspiration Hop, Day 1: Triple Play Fillers and Video

Good morning! The Cast and Crew for Gina K Designs welcomes you to another fabulous Inspiration Blog Hop! As you hop through each of the designers' blogs, make sure to leave a comment on each of them because we will choose a random comment and that stamper will win a grab bag of Gina K. Designs products! To see who won,  check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hop.

Today we are sharing samples and ideas for my Triple Play Fillers. I am crazy for the images in this set!

Today's video is simple, showing some tips for some of the borders, one bow, and the stick pin elements.

Here are photos of both samples, the top made with GKD Wild Wisteria, Charcoal Brown, and Moonlit Fog, and below with GKD Peach Bellini, Dark Chocolate and Moonlit Fog. Very similar design, although I made just a few changes, swapping out the stick pin cap images and didn't fill in the border.  I think these would work nicely as contemporary but classic designs for anytime, or a mother who is having a baby boy or girl. Our White Pure Luxury cardstock looks so nice and crisp with the cool tone of the Wisteria, and the Ivory so rich with the warm Peach.

I love how when you two step stamp just select parts of the Moroccan and diamond borders, the little bits just seem to come to life like tiny shimmering facets!  Cardstock and ink are GKD Pure Luxury Lovely Lavender, Moonlit Fog, and Dark Chocolate. (Ivory mat)
So fun to pop in some different colors and patterns quickly, no cutting or coloring! This square card was made with just one ink pad, full strength and stamped off, GKD Prickly Pear!

And although I just can't bring myself to make a Christmas video yet, I couldn't resist posting a Santa card with the belt, since it seems to be my family's favorite so far!

Embossing the bold rings around the circles makes it extra fancy and looks great with that big gold buckle! Cardstock is Pure Luxury Red Hot ans I used the frame and greeting, and ornament elements from Triple Play FrameThe plaid fillers on the belly band are stamped in Cherry Red.

More videos and ideas in the coming weeks with both sets! :)

Flowers and Frames Hop!

Good morning! The Cast and Crew for Gina K Designs welcomes you to another fabulous Inspiration Blog Hop! This blog hop is for the brand spanking new StampTV Flowers and Frames kit. This kit, along with several other sets you've been waiting for, will be back in stock tomorrow for you to order, and we are hopping up and down with excitement, ready to share some new ideas!  Please enjoy today's samples and then browse the store for other crafty items you need so you'll be ready to throw this kit in your cart tomorrow starting at 8 AM Central, ready to head to checkout!

I got so much wonderful feedback from one of my last videos about mixing up one of my sets with a StampTV kit, so since this hop is Flowers & Frames, I thought it would be appropriate to mix it with Triple Play Frame, since both are back in stock tomorrow, woo hoo!  I made a trellis scene by placing a mask over my frame and sponging some clouds with Gina K. Ocean Mist, then adding the die cut stamped flowers (Gina K. Innocent Pink, Passionate Pink, and Cherry Red) and leaves (Gina K. Grass Green and Fresh Asparagus) around the frame's borders, as if the vine is climbing. I love this look!  (and love that I didn't have to come up with a sketch!)  Frame is stamped in Gina K. Moonlit Fog and I added three adhesive pearls to the lower corner echo the circles in the frame. Sentiment is stamped in Gina K.Black Onyx and cardstock is Gina K. Pure Luxury Innocent Pink and White.

Video: Kissing Technique

Have fun kissing beautiful patterned stamps onto the bold

frame stamp in Wild at Heart to create new and different

textured looks! This technique is so fun and versatile, you’ll

be looking at all your stamps for kissing possibilities. The

flowers and leaves in the coordinating Wild Flowers set are

perfect for adding two step color to the frame, as well as

create a matching accents for the inside of your card. Go

bold with several colored ink pads to create a gradient effect,

or stick with one color for a more subtle look. The tight

weave of this patterned border in Pretty Patterns 2 is

excellent for kissing, as it creates terrific almost fabric-like

texture as well as picks up a lot of the frame’s floral detail.

Be sure to watch the video for a bonus product of a similar

card with these same techniques and sets in earth tones!
