Video: How to Stamp Stylish Two and Three Step Poinsettias

Hello! Holiday Frame is sold out (that is both good news and bad news) so I decided to share an easy to mass produce holiday card* with a few of my other fave sets in this week's video, but Gina promises it has already been reordered and will be back very soon!  Not to worry, though,  lots of videos with that set in plenty of time for your holiday creating, okay?!  Without further adieu, today I show you how fabulous my bold Pressed Flowers stamps (now available  in clear!) that coordinate with A Year of Flowers also look when you layer the whimsical, sketched outlines from A Year of Flowers 2 over them!  Just two and three steps to “terrific”!  Our new formatting of this set making the flower centers separate allows you to pop in color with ease for mass producing quick and vibrant cards! I finish this clean and simple design with an amazing product, Nuvo Crystal Dots**, which will give you the look of enamel dots in any size and color, coming soon to ginakdesigns.com! (Now available at Village Paper & Ink) Sentiment is from the new Holly Jolly incentive set, which is free for limited time with a purchase of $75 or more.

Supplies:
Gina K. Designs Pressed Flowers, A Year of Flowers 2, Holly Jolly Incentive stamp sets
Gina K. Pure Luxury Red Velvet ( 4 ¼” x 11, scored at 5 ½”) and White cardstock (4” x 5 ¼”),
Gina K. Red Velvet, Jellybean and Versafine Black Onyx ink pads

Nuvo Crystal Drops- Apple Green and Red Berry

*Use these same two flower sets but swap out the bloom, colors and greeting for different season or holiday for a fun, go to design in no time!

** And I forgot to point out, but you probably noticed yourself, the caps for these each have a huge diamond on top, like a gorgeous little perfume bottle! Eek! They sure know what we like!!   Anyway, these make up the prettiest little row of crafty stuff in my stamp room currently, I want them all... (Some colors were sold out already, which is why I only got 7. Next I need White, Black, Caribbean Ocean...)  :)

Inspiration Hop, Day 3: Ian Moose and Claire's Sets!

Hello, and welcome back to our third day with the Gina K. Designs team inspiring you with another fabulous blog hop! Please enjoy the gorgeous inspiration samples from the team and then comment on each blog for your chance to win a $20 Gina K Designs gift certificate! To see who won, check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hop.

Today, we are featuring Beth Silaika’s new “Ian Moose” stamp set and Claire Brennan’s new stamp sets: Nordic Winter, Noel, Festive Foliage and Compliments of the Season. Beth’s set, “Ian Moose” is the most adorable moose with cute accompanying images and fun sentiments! Claire’s stamp sets are the best in classic and traditional stamps celebrating this holiday season!

What an adorable little tree in this Ian Moose set! I had fun adding the different bulbs to the curling cord (stamped three times end to end to make a border).  Colored with Spectrum Noir markers. Base is the new Pure Luxury Wild Dandelion.  Beautiful script sentiment is from Claire's Compliments of the Season.
And isn't Ian adorable with his little scarf? I stamped him into the Holiday Frame Window and then colored him and the different borders in the frame with Spectrum Noir markers.  I reverse masked the little holly image into the outside portions of the frame in GKD Grass Green and then did the same with the snowflake in GKD Red Velvet into the belly band area.

Next up, Compliments of the Season! I LOVE the beautiful little snowflakes Claire added to this greeting set for even more versatility! Here is a clean and simple design you can create without using any other sets.  The flakes are stamped in GKD Powder Blue, Ocean Mist, and Edible Eggplant, and then I accented just a few centers with adhesive rhinestones and pearls. It still needed just a little something so I got out my piercing tool and did a little poking around the flakes. I love the look!  I stamped the greeting two tone and traced with a TB2 Spectrum Noir. Easy peasy!  Card base is GKD Pure Luxury Heavy Base Weight White.

This is the first card I made when all my new supplies came, and one of my faves I've made so far from the release!  I stamped the ginormous greeting from Noel into the Holiday Frame's circle, and went to town reverse masking three of the different borders from Nordic Winter into the open areas to make my own custom stitched design. Love! Frame is stamped in GKD Dark Chocolate and Nordic Winter elements in GKD Cherry Red and Christmas Pine.  I used a Spectrum Noir CG2 marker around the borders (that is unfortunately now running a bit low form all the leaves I do, so it's a bit blotchy here, I apologize) plus a bit of DR3 red to accent the centers. ( I came back from Village Paper & Ink with a *new* product that would have looked great on this but that will have to wait for later!) This card came together so quickly but I'm sure you'll agree it's a lot of look!

Last I have a simple single layer card with some direct to stamp inking with my GKD Dark Chocolate, Grass Green and Fresh Asparagus pads using the Festive Foliage set, and a greeting from Compliments of the Season.  Love this pine cones and needles! I smudged some white pigment ink on the Kraft base, and brushed a little Wink of Stella clear glitter on the cones.

Inspiration Hop, Day 2: Dashing and Holiday Frame

Welcome back, friends!  Inspiration from the Gina K. Designs team continues, today featuring stamp sets from myself and Theresa Momber! (Plus a few I couldn't help mixing in, as they all play so nicely together!) :)

Be sure to leave a comment on the blogs as you hop though because we will be giving away a $20 Gina K. Designs gift certificate!  One winner will be chosen randomly each hop day from all the comments. More comments, more chances to win! :)
To see who won, check StampTV a few days after the hops.

First up, I have a few cards with Theresa Momber's Dashing! I just love how gorgeous Theresa's image looks embossed in gold!  I colored her poinsettia with the Zig Clean Color markers, then cut them out and popped over the white circle I stamped and paper pieced back onto my frame. Card base is GKD Red Velvet.  I also used one of the red markers from the pack to color in the belly band border for a rich, tone-on-tone look.
Sentiment is stamped in GKD Black Onyx.

Isn't this scene awesome?? The silhouette of the sleigh and reindeer are the perfect beginning and the trail of dust adds a bit of magic. I love how the greeting looks like it's stamped over a big ol' moon in this frame! I reverse masked Blue Denim into the Holiday Frame to create a cloudy, night and accented with my big Pitt White artist pen for falling snow and stars.  Frame is stamped in Moonlit Fog on GKD Pure Luxury Heavy Base Weight White cardstock.

This next one was so fast!  I stamped the Holiday Frame and sentiment from the kit in GKD Dark Chocolate, then stamped the music background from the kit right over the frame in GKD Kraft ink. Just about a perfect fit to fill this frame in and perfect enough for me to use these two together a lot! :) I stamped my ornament topper above, colored with white and dotted on a string to hold it up, finishing with some adhesive rhinestones. Easy peasy!

Finally, I believe Gina shared this card in the after party broadcast, I am doing a video on this one! Just wanted to show you something fun with this set *without* the frame. The individual small elements will maker some great scenes on your cards. I love how leaving out his arms in the illustration allows YOU to add back in his arms and then pose him how ever you choose! :)
What a silly little guy...! :)
The great big greeting is from Theresa's Dashing set.

I'll be sharing some cards and videos using the wreath elements in this set very soon! And you can bet you will see more Holiday Frame in my samples tomorrow! I love not having to create a new sketch every time!

Here are today's beautiful sets in full:

Inspiration Hop, Day 1: Home for the Holidays StampTV Kit and 'Tis the Sea-Sun

Good morning, everyone! The Cast and Crew for Gina K Designs welcomes you to another fabulous blog hop celebrating the new Home for the Holidays StampTV Kit and a number of gorgeous stamp sets by our illustrator team! Honestly the weather here is pretty hot but "It’s Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas” around Gina K Designs, right?! Gina K and the illustrator team have been extremely busy preparing the most fun stamp sets with a variety of images and sentiments to make so many incredible cards and holiday projects! We hope to inspire you with some beautiful card projects as you hop along to each of the designer’s blogs! Today, we are featuring one of the stamp sets from the Home for the Holidays kit and the new ‘Tis the Sea-Sun.

Please enjoy the holiday inspiration from our team and then comment on each blog for your chance to win a $20 Gina K Designs gift certificate! To see who won, check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hop.

This awesome new StampTV kit comes with, count 'em, FOUR holiday sets that give you such a huge variety of styles and holiday themes to work with, all amazing!

Home for the Holidays

Music Background
Christmas Greenery
Christmas Magic

Today I am featuring projects with two of the sets above.

Tip:  To really make white snow pop, stamp your house on a panel that is cut to the same dimensions as your card base, color, and then cut around the house with a wavy border to create gentle, dimensional snowbanks.  Pop up over a Kraft or blue background for sky.  I used the Pitt artist pen to dot on falling snow plus a hint of glitter. Cardbase is Pure Luxury Kraft.

I also wanted a clean and simple design you could build using the different snowflakes and branch building elements in the Home for the Holidays set.  Cardstock is Pure Luxury Navy and Kraft and ink Grass Green and Blue Denim.  I pierced a few accents and embellished the flakes with pearl for some shine and dimension.

Here is one with the Christmas Magic set from the StampTV kit. I thought she'd be even cuter (if that's possible) hovering in the globe and surrounded by a flurry of stars instead of snow.  Magical, indeed!  I echoed the star theme by masking it into the the side panels of the frame from Holiday Frame set, which is also stamped in GKD Ocean Mist.

Here is a little tag I made, also with Christmas Magic: love the "to:" and "from:" in this set that allow making quick gift tags with these different adorable characters!  I stamped on Kraft, and used the Faber Castell White Pitt Artist pen for his beard and fur trim to do on the white parts over and over to create a textured, cotton ball effect.  Santa is colored with Spectrum Noir markers and mounted on Pure Luxury Red Velvet.

Home for the Holidays StampTV Kit

Just look at all the stuff in this kit!

Finally, on this Tis Sea-Sun card, I couldn't resist making a sand globe with Holiday Frame when I saw that palm tree, it just begged for a summer time Christmas scene!  This is single layer card where I colored the outside border of the frame with a Spectrum Noir markers and stamped in and colored so hanging ornaments to make it "penguin" to look more Christmasy. (hee!)  I cut out and popped up the penguin and drew in some dunes with a pen.  I also reverse masked in just a bit of Powder Blue to the circle opening to suggest sky.
"Penguin-ing"!! Hahahahaha!!
