Ghost Town in a Jar

Here is a card I made for my son, using the "Buds and Vases" jar and the little haunted house and pumpkins from Asela's "Boo!" I was inspired by a little shaker globe with a a ghost and bats in it at the drug store and saw how easily I could recreate it with these images! The house and tree fit perfectly in the jar. Pumpkins are colored and cut out, glued over the image.
Although a clear jar wouldn't like "white" on and black background, I like the contrast and thought the large black layer was perfect for a spooky night.
I used a vintage border punch and patterned paper from Basic Grey Ambrosia pack which seems so at odds with that polka dot ribbon, but the Grass Green layer pulls it together and keeps it from being so matchy match! Halloween is a fun holiday to go really whimsical and kind of classic creepy Gothic at the same time! :) The little foam sticker ghost my son got in a treat bag from school, so I threw it on the card, the dimension and texture is fun and makes the whole thing more playful, looks like it just sped through the glass and is flying away from the card...

So, what are you going to be for Halloween? Just a couple days left to find or maake that perfect costume! :)
