StampTV Kit, Day 2: Give Thanks

Good morning! The Cast and Crew for Gina K Designs welcomes you back to another fabulous blog hop celebrating the new Painted Autumn StampTV Kit! We hope to inspire you with some beautiful card projects as you hop along to each of the designer’s blogs! Today, we are featuring the second set in the Painted Autumn StampTV Kit, Give Thanks. In this set, you will find fun and cuddly critters, acorn, leaves and fun sentiments to make the most adorable card projects!  There are so many possibilities with these sets!

Here is one from the release party. I love this little guy! I noticed the pumpkin trio was the perfect width to perch on top of his tail and prized acorn, fun! Had to grab some of the kit's coordinating pumpkin paper and I stamped colored and cut out the single acorn for an embellishment. The oval shadow stamp is so very versatile, as you will see below...

....Ginormous petals!! And a ginormous center to go with, using that circle frame in the set! Good stuff! Base is GKD Sweet Corn and ink is GKD Cherry Red , stamped full strength and stamped off in between for the lighter color. Circle and sentiment are stamped in GKD Black Onyx.  If the letter looks a teeny bit dimensional, I shifted the stamp a hair after stamping and stamped off! Love it! I also used my BG3 Spectrum Noir marker to trace a little shadow on the sides of the stamped petals. Love this single layer design!  beautiful with any color on Pure Luxury White, but I wanted to use some of the pretty colored cardstock included in the kit.

Enjoy the gorgeous inspiration samples from the team and then comment on each blog for your chance to win a $20 Gina K Designs gift certificate! To see who won, check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hop.

StampTV Kit, Day 1: Painted Autumn

Good morning! The Cast and Crew for Gina K Designs welcomes you to another fabulous blog hop celebrating the new Painted Autumn StampTV Kit! We hope to inspire you with some beautiful card projects as you hop along to each of the designer’s blogs! Today, we are featuring one of the stamp sets from the kit, Painted Autumn. In this set, you will find beautiful floral and leaf images where you will be able to create the 3 or 4-step stamping technique! You can create one floral image or an entire bouquet of gorgeous autumn flowers. This set will be great to use all year long!

This is a the first card I made. I just grabbed a stack of pads that coordinated with the colors Gina chose for the kit and went to town! Flowers are stamped in GKD Ocean mist, Sweet Corn, Honey Mustard, Cherry Red, leaves in Fresh Asparagus, (full strength and stamped off) and outlines and branches in Dark Chocolate. Fabulous flowers! Fabulous!! Cardstock from the kit is Pure Luxury Ivory, Ocean Mist, Sweet Corn, and Dark Chocolate. I traced a drop shadow on a couple words (always grateful) that I wanted to stand out, along with the flowers and leaves to make it pop.  Pierced a few holes at corners  and bottom to tie in the stitched ribbon. I love adding teeny details like this, to go with a sentiment like, "There is always something to be thankful for". Pick your fave element and enjoy!

This next card I wanted to show in some colors that aren't in the kit, since these images can be used year round, and two-, three- and four step stamping looks amazing in so many color combos, even unexpected (or unintentional) ones! Now the lavender, lilac, eggplant, was intentional, the Black Onyx on the leaves was not, I grabbed the wrong pad, ack! Let's just say, I am "so thankful" this card worked out! (Since you know I hate to start over) ;) These painterly flowers really do look good in any color.  Base is Ivory and I added some Platinum Pearl Liquid Pearl accents to tie in the champagney-colored Kraft stamping on the leaves. (That also didn't quite turn out like I was expecting, was going for kind of shabby chic country look, but I think it turned out okay!)*

Please enjoy the gorgeous inspiration samples from the team and then comment on each blog for your chance to win a $20 Gina K Designs gift certificate! To see who won, check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hop.

* Don't ask me how to get that beautiful pinky purple two step color on the top flower, I can't recreate it! I forgot to clean my stamp after using Cherry Red on the previous card, so that's what stamping it onto the lavender (or lilac??) did. Try at your own risk!

Bonus Video: Paperless Post Inspired Christmas Cards

Hello! Bonus video and projects this week, woo hoo!  Paperless Post reached out asking me to browse their gallery and show their fans a reinterpretation of "Christmas in Summer".  I was happy to oblige, thanks for inquiring about guest designing, what an honor! Paperless Post is a site where you can purchase beautiful, custom greeting cards and invitations to send, snail mail OR electronically. They really know how to step up the style on an e-vite! It is also a fantastic resource for us cardmakers to supplement our cardmaking and get inspiration for handmade and handstamped designs!  Just sayin'!

In today's video,  I share two clean and simple Christmas cards, inspired by two Paperless Post designs I found, using my recently released bestsellers Gifts from the Sea and Festive Frame, now available in clear! You can finish BOTH these holiday cards in less than 10 minutes, easy peasy! Elegant and easy to mass produce. The sand dollar design is so perfect for those of you who have a summertime Christmas in your part of the world!(The starfish would be adorable, too!) Please enjoy this video and browsing Paperless Post's gallery of Christmas cards! Sure to inspire you!

Here are the cards that caught my eye and immediately brought these two stamp sets of mine to mind*:

New Video: Seed Packet Gift Card Holder, No Template Required!

Oopsie! I see the last few weeks of summer I failed to share my most recent videos here! A good reason to subscribe to the channel, though,  I have still been uploading regularly!  Here is the latest and I will backtrack and add the others, (but YOU probably already saw them, right??)  Anyway, this seed packet holder is sooo easy to make, and certainly you can make a little envelope like this without the stamped label image and decorate it some other way, but it make it so much cuter, you know?  I went ahead and kept with the Stately Flowers 10 set and used the dogwood image with the label. Please enjoy!  Pardon me while I go get some Pop Rocks!!) Supply list on the Youtube page :)

Here is a list of fun stuff you can put in these:

Gift card
Mini card or Artist Trading Card
Cash
Pop Rocks
Drink mix
Sequins
Buttons

Glitter
Small, flat (-ish) jewelry: necklace earrings, bracelet

Inspiration Hop, Day 2: Bella Elephant, My Island, You're So Cool, Sweet Thing, Petite Patisserie

The Cast and Crew for Gina K Designs welcomes you to another fabulous blog hop celebrating the new stamp sets from the July StampTV Release Party! We hope to inspire you with some beautiful card projects as you hop along to each of the designer’s blogs! Today, we are featuring stamp sets by Beth Silaika and Claire Brennan.  Please enjoy the gorgeous inspiration samples from the team and then comment on each blog for your chance to win a $20 Gina K Designs gift certificate! To see who won, check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hop.

The first set we are featuring is Bella Elephant by Beth Silaika. Beth has created a super cute set with the sweetest images and matching sentiments to make the perfect card project!

White elephant, ha! Base is Moonlit Fog. Images are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and the Spectrum Noir markers I used are: IG2, GG2, GG3, PP1, and CR4. Love the little mouse!
Scene time! It was so fun coloring these cute animals and adding some accessories! You could make more of a scene to ground them, but sometimes I just really like my animals on a white background, like you are reading a sweet picture book, so I just added shadows. Spectrum Noir markers are: DR1, IB2, CG3, DG3, TN6, TN9, GG2, BGR4, IG3, IG4.

Next, Claire Brennan  released four amazingly beautiful stamp sets this month! My Island is like a tropical get-away, Petite
Patisserie is a sweet shop of goodness, So Cool is packed with yummy ice cream treats and Sweet Thing is a cupcake lovers dream! The two I am featuring today are My Island and Petite Patisserie.
Sun block  (ha, pardon the pun!) is stamped in GKD Tomato Soup, background stamped in Sweet Corn and sea block image in Blue Lagoon. Mahalo and palm trees are stamped in Dark Chocolate. Cardstock is Pure Luxury White, Tomato Soup and Blue Lagoon.  Love this bold, graphic design and colors together!

Sentiment and trees are stamped in GKD Black Onyx.  Cardstock is Tomato Soup, Edible Eggplant and Kraft.  Although the eggplant may look black here, this deep purple looks so cool with the Tomato Soup in real life!  Sizzles like a sunset! I brushed on wiink of Stella glitter pen over the palm branches and sponged on the Tomato Soup and Blue Lagoon at the corners, leaving the Kraft open in the middle for the sandy beach. These design just screams "OP" T-shirts from the 80's to me, and that is a god thing! Ahhh!

For this card I shared at our release, I wanted to show you *don't* have to color every little detail in the shop to make an impact!  I used DR6 and DR7 on the door and curtains, and then IG3 for the sign and shadows, and GG3 for the bistro set. For a little dimension on this single layer card, I popped up the sign and adhered a little pink seed bead for the door knob.  Small details like these really make simple designs extra special!

FINALLY! This shop is just the cutest! So fun to color and SO many fun accessories! Reminds me of all the cute Barbie mansions and Play-doh toy bake shops my friends had that I coveted when I was younger, now I have one!  Can fix it up how ever I please, yes, I can! Cardstock is Pure Luxury White and Innocent Pink.
Petite Patisserie- CLEAR

Inspiration Hop, Day 1: Stately Flowers 10 and French Flair

The Cast and Crew for Gina K Designs welcomes you to another fabulous blog hop celebrating the new stamp sets from the July StampTV Release Party! We hope to inspire you with some beautiful card projects as you hop along to each of the designer’s blogs! Today, we are featuring two stamp sets by
Theresa Momber and myself! Enjoy the gorgeous inspiration samples from the team and then comment on each blog for your chance to win a $20 Gina K Designs gift certificate! To see who won, check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hop.

The first set we are featuring is French Flair by Theresa Momber. Theresa illustrated this wonderful set that will leave you feeling like you may be in Paris or strolling around a gorgeous vineyard! Oo la la! You will feel so sophisticated creating with this stamp set, for all your favorite ladies, but has some wonderful imagines and greetings for masculine cards, too.

I thought it would be pretty to stamp the wine glass on Kraft cardstock in White Pigment ink, like light shining on the glass, and stamp the "Cheers" like it was etched onto the side.  You can see the hint of script through the clear glass, no need to mask! The script is really a background stamp, but I inked up just a few portions I especially liked, small though they are! Spectrum Noir DR6 and DR7 for the red wine, plus a little of the pigment pad painted on over the coloring with a water brush. Base is Pure Luxury White. Corner flourish is stamped and stamped off in GKD Kraft ink.

I showed this one at the party and it was big hit (with all you wine lovers out there anyway!) I stamped the grapes in GKD Edible Eggplant onto the Pure Luxury Cherry Red mat and sponged more eggplant on the edges.  I stamped the smaller tower in Black Onyx on Moonlit Fog cardstock and cut it out to make a little charm (get it, wine charm??) to tie on the jute. Spectrum Noir markers I used to color the wine glass and grapes are: DR6, DR7, CG3, DG4, BG3, IG3.

The second set we are featuring is my Stately Flowers 10. Here is a card with the Dogwood which  I will be demonstrating in an upcoming video, using Zig Clean Color markers and watercolor paper. You can make such gorgeous watery backgrounds with these real brush tip markers!  Base is Pure Luxury White. (Although I think I will be using Ivory, which is a better match for the watercolor paper, and so many of you liked the Ivory version better of last week's video design!)

You can make such gorgeous watery backgrounds with these real brush tip markers!  Base is Pure Luxury White. (Although I think I will be using Ivory, which is a better match for the watercolor paper, and so many of you liked the Ivory version better of last week's video design!) Finish with pearls.

I am so happy with how this Oregon Grape card turned out! Love how the orientation of this flower bunch is just perfectly shaped for nestling into corners.  I will  be demonstrating the coloring for this design in an upcoming video also! The Spectrum Noir markers I used are: Cardstock is Pure Luxury Wild Dandelion and Edible Eggplant. I used the Alison's Ribbon die plate for the trim and I think that detail goes perfectly with these little buds.

Finally, here is a scene I made with the sagebrush image, perfect for high desert and mountain scenes!  I also used one of the butterflies, love having some side facing butterflies to perch on all the flowers in this series. Grass and sponging are with GKD Jellybean, Grass Green and Fresh Asparagus. Sky is GKD Powder Blue and Blue Raspberry, and mountains are sponged in Navy.  The butterflies in this set are glasswings, really spectacular butterflies with clear panes in portions of their wings, like a gorgeous illusion showing flowers, leaves and sky peeking through! This one will be a video demo, too! Dream sentiment is from Theresa's French Flair set.
