A woman who works with her hands is a LABORER; a woman who works with her hands and head, a CRAFTSMAN; but a woman who works with her hands, her head and her heart is an ARTIST. ~ Louis Nizer

I whipped this one up this morning for our Friday Funday at Stamp TV in our StampTV Kit Addicts forum! You can see how I created this card with step out photos here, but finish the hop first!) Remember, a leaf can *always* be a petal and vice versa! Cardstock is GKD Pure Luxury White and Wild Dandelion and ink is GKD Black Onyx, Tomato Soup, Red Velvet and Fresh Asparagus. Because this kit comes with the beautiful dies, you could also die cut all the petals leaves and that thankful instead of stamping, would be super pretty!

On this card I two step stamped the leaves in GKD Grass Green, Tomato Soup and Wild dandelion, for the bold layers, and Charcoal Brown for the top stitched layer. Love how solid and detailed these look, almost like I die cut colored cardstock (you can, I just didn't) The word dies that coordinate with the stamp sets in this kit are so gorgeous! I stamped one on white and popped it up over the images then layered on to a heavy white card base.
For this next card, I used Tomato Soup again, but Honey Mustard and Fresh Asparagus this time for the other leaves. I just love these fall-ish colors from Gina K. year round, and I adore making fall designs! The curling stitch image is wonderful and you can use them for creating movement on your cards for the falling leaves for build them up in areas or borders like the cardstock has been embroidered or quilted. Love it!

Gina K. Celebrates Stamptember!
Hello! We are hopping today with the new set Gina K has designed exclusively for Simon Says Stamp, Warmer With You, in celebration of their month long event STAMPtember! Please enjoy this collaboration with Gina K design team and Simon Says Stamp! The set you see below is now available at Simon Says Stamp, as well as with a coordinating set of dies. Once they're gone, they're gone, so get them while you can!
Warmer with You
Let me show you now what this winter set inspired me to make!
#snelfie
How cute are these snowpeople? I got kind of excited that they were all slightly different sizes and could totally work as the four people in my family, especially with these from all of us greetings! (Don't know about you, but I can't help seeing the little line art images representing each person that people put on their rear windows lol!) Although their arms aren't quite long enough, stamping them at angles instead of straight up and down along with a strategic crop and you have a snelfie on your hands! Cardstock is Pure Luxury White and Black Onyx.
These trees in this set are as elegant and as the snowmen are adorable! For this design, I masked off three sides of my GKD Pure Luxury Heavy White card base with sticky notes and a cut a gentle wave of snow banks from scratch paper for the bottom. Then I sponged GKD Edible Eggplant, Navy and Blue Denim, removed the mask, stamped the trees in Versamark and then embossed with detail white powder. I used a white gel pen to make stars/falling snow, and finished with the sentiment.
Are you in love with this or what? It will be a great holiday go to for sure, pick up your set today!

Gina K. Inspiration Hop, Day 2: Todd Turtle and Perfect Poinsettia
The Cast and Crew for Gina K Designs welcomes you to another fabulous blog hop
celebrating the new stamp sets by Gina K! We hope to inspire you with some beautiful card projects as
you hop along to each of the designer’s blogs! Today, we are featuring Beth Silaika's Todd Turtle and Claire Brennan's Perfect Poinsettia.
Please enjoy the gorgeous
inspiration samples from the team and then comment on each blog for your chance
to win a $50 Gina K Designs gift certificate! To see who won, check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hop. Ready for some inspiration? Here are a
few of the projects I have created for today’s hop:
For my first card I had to get all these layers inky to create, yep, a perfect poinsettia! For the leaves GKD Applemint, Jellybean Green and Grass Green for the two and 3 step bold leaf and flower images, GKD Fresh Asparagus for the outlines, and GKD Innocent Pink, Red Velvet and Cherry Red, in that order for the leaves inside. Tracing the underside with a BG2 marker to create a drop shadow makes it look even more dimensional. I stamped the "joy" in these same colors as the "flower" part, and then gave my coordinating Spectrum Noir markers a few good whacks to create a a speckled background on the GKD Pure Luxury Weight. Love this single layer card!
This next one I shared at our party. I love white and green together, and love white poinsettias, so I had to try that! Here I used GKD Applemint, Jellybean Green and Grass Green for the two and 3 step bold leaf and flower images, and GKD Fresh Asparagus for the outlines. Grab the BG2 marker again to create drop shadows on both. I covered them with Wink of Stella glitter to really sparkle, and a couple silver adhesive sequins I picked up while at Village Paper & Ink to bling it up. Cardstock is GKD Pure Luxury Heavy Base Weight White.

Another gorgeous layered set, Claire!! :)
This next set "Todd Turtle" from Beth is named after her husband, is that sweet or what?! Love these little critters, and fun puns (What the shell?? Oh my goodness. Know who I'm sending that to!)
I thought the "super star" sentiment would be really sweet with the starfish holding up this crab. He looks so celebratory and victorious holding up his claws! I colored with Spectrum Noir markers and stamped the Tomato Soup card base with more starfish in Versamark.
This next one I used the new embossing folder Ben Day Dots Gina is carrying from Darice which is amazing, and I have a LOT of dotted folders in my collection! It's great as just a pattern or when you evoke a bubbly or scaly feels, perfect for this sea turtle!
I cut out the circles for the sentiment and turtle image with the circle die from my Fabulous Rose Frame set, and decided to also use the negative pieces from the cut circles to make the layout more interesting. Cardstock is GKD White, Jellybean Green and Kraft.
To conclude our hops, I have one more card with Nurturing Blooms, our newest Incentive set, free with purchase of $75 or more. I made a really simple design using Pure Luxury Ivory and Moonlit Fog. Images and sentiment are stamped in GKD Black Onyx.
I always love torn edges on cards with nature silhouettes, the added texture and mimicry of imperfectly perfect nature is so elegant!

Gina K. Inspiration Hop Day 1: Fabulous Rose Frame and The Wetlands 2
The Cast and Crew for Gina K Designs welcomes you to another fabulous blog hop
celebrating the new stamp sets by Gina K and the illustrator team from Gina K.
Designs! We hope to inspire you with some
beautiful card projects as you hop along to each of the designer’s blogs! Today we are featuring my new Fabulous Rose Frame and Theresa Momber's The Wetlands 2 , and I have a video for you below! Please enjoy the gorgeous inspiration samples from the team and then comment on each blog for your chance to win a $50 Gina K Designs gift certificate! To see who won, check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hop.
In today's video, I show you how to create a really special gate fold design with my Fabulous Rose Frame and its coordinating dies. The overlapping flowers in the illustration lend themselves to this type of design and the fancy dies save time in cutting as well as helping keep the gate closed!
Supplies:
I am also showing this set's label, small flower and centers paired with the beautiful silhouettes and a greeting from Nurturing Blooms, the new incentive set, free for a limited time with your purchase $75 or more.
In today's video, I show you how to create a really special gate fold design with my Fabulous Rose Frame and its coordinating dies. The overlapping flowers in the illustration lend themselves to this type of design and the fancy dies save time in cutting as well as helping keep the gate closed!
Supplies:
Gina K. Designs Fabulous Rose Frame stamp set
Gina K. Jellybean and Black Onyx Ink pads
Gina K. Pure Luxury Jellybean (5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 2 1/8" on both sides, and scraps for the die cut circles) and White cardstock (4 1/4" x 5 1/2")
Acrylic blocks or MISTI, sponge dauber
Fabulous Rose Frame label dies and die cutting machine, scissors
Spectrum Noir markers: DR2, DR3, GG2, and LY1
On this sample, I stamped the flower silhouettes in GKD Dark Sage, Chocolate Brown, and Honey Mustard inks on a GKD Pure Luxury Ivory base. Next I stamped the label from Fabulous Rose Frame in Chocolate Brown on Pure Luxury White (love mixing these two neutrals! So elegant!), die cut with the Fabulous Label die, then die cut the center out with the smaller oval in this die set. I stamped my tiny flower centers from Fabulous Rose Frame on each side of the belly band in the same colors, and then a greeting from Nurturing Blooms inside the open space. I filled it with more solid images from my set. Love how these florals work together!
Finally, here is a simple card where I snipped up a frame to use two for the roses as a border, and then the little corner pieces to create a tiny frame or my greeting. It's so nice to stamp one and have several flowers to use on multiple projects, and to make whatever customer smaller frames you need for sentiments, when you want to change it up and not use the label! Cardstock is GKD Pure Luxury White and Black Onyx. Embossing folder is the new Charles folder that Gina sells. Love mixing something really graphic like this with flowers! I used Zig Clean color with no blenidng becuase I was in super hurry on this card!
I can't express how much I adore this set and the dies that go with it! I'm making some of the most ornate, fancy cards ever and they take so little time, it's ridiculous! You are going to love all the layering possibilities that will change up the look. And, that bold label that fills my bestselling Fabulous Frame is such a bonus, coordinates with a zillion sets! (Okay 3, to be exact! 3 SO FAR.)! :) I have so much more I want to share but I need to save some surprised and I know our team is going to rock this set! Lots more videos to come, plus my tip sheet here later this week for lots of ideas, so please check back! :)
Next up, The Wetlands 2 is perfect for scene stamping, as well as the men in your life! I love these simple trees and knew I wanted to do a clean masked scene, with the birds rising out of it. Start with a clean white base and stamp your trees and birds and greeting in GKD Black Onyx. Next, mask off an area with tape or sticky notes above and below. I think it's more interesting to have the treetops extending out a bit, that's just me! I sponged the top and bottom with GKD Tomato Soup, then switched to GKD Sweet Corn towards the middle. Last I placed a sheet of paper over the middle to create the horizon and added more Sweet Corn, then removed the mask. That last part really makes the scene! This is one of my favorite designs I made for this release. :)
This next card I had to try one of Theresa's images with the label from my Fabulous Rose Frame set. This label really showcases all these gorgeous illustrations so nicely! I stamped the cattail image right over it, then repeated again on the die cut oval from the Fabulous Labels die set to mount over the label with some foam squares. I sponged a little GKD Turquoise Sea around the edges and then used Zig Clean Color markers to dab in dots of purple, turquoise, pink, green and blue to make the little panes of the wings look iridescent. Last I added a swipe of Wink of Stella glitter. Cardstock is GKD Pure Luxury White and Ocean Mist.
Amazing set, Theresa!
