A woman who works with her hands is a LABORER; a woman who works with her hands and head, a CRAFTSMAN; but a woman who works with her hands, her head and her heart is an ARTIST. ~ Louis Nizer

"Crazy Christmas Sweater" Inspired...
Have you been to a Crazy Christmas Sweater party? Do you own one? You know, with a zillion colors and patterns? :) Well, that's what I was thinking of when I made this card with Fabulous Holiday Fillers! I don't care for the half circle as a border as much as I like the belly band "scallops" (watch this video), but I am all about trying to create some new looks, as you know. ;) I have to say, I do really like the little rows of Christmas trees and hearts, that part is my favorite! The trees and hearts are both stamped off in between to create the lighter shades. I was playing with the washi again, too. This is a single layer card.
Inks: GKD Red Hot, Christmas Pine, Fresh Asparagus ink pads
GKD Pure Luxury Base Weight White cardstock
My Christmas card is stash is growing!

This is so cute! Now we don our ugly sweaters, falala, lalala, LA lala...
ReplyDeleteI can always count on you to "get" me, Richard. Happy sigh. :) xo
DeleteThis is so cute, and I think I have a Christmas sweater stashed somewhere-hahaha
ReplyDeleteRight?? I'm pretty share mine got donated. And then of course after I got my first invite...doh!
DeleteI remember when sweaters like this were all the rage around holiday time. I love how you recreated that look on the card and how festive it is too!
ReplyDeleteLooks much better on a card than a sweater. I love this look. I am really loving the belly band scallop look. These sets have so many possibilities.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteOMGosh, how cute!!!
ReplyDeleteI love that whole "ugly sweater" thing going on, and this card certainly is a nod to that!
Well done!
Too stinkin' cute!!!!
Wait, I need to qualify that statement.
ReplyDeleteThe "ugly sweater" thing is pretty much a colorful sweater that we problably wouldn't chose for ourselves, but some loved one chose it, so we wear it proudly!
Not that your card is ugly, okay?
Teehee, I thought oops, that sounded wrong, somehow. LOL
