First Video of the New Year! Chalkboard Technique

Hello!  First video of 2015! In today’s video, I will demonstrate the chalkboard technique with my Fabulous Frame set. You can’t get much more minimal than the supplies needed for the chalkboard (or blackboard) technique, but the look is so fun! The Fabulous Frame is perfect for this technique with beautiful borders already drawn for you just like professional signage, and the Fabulous Frame Fillers allow you to add all those tiny, custom details in a flash!

Important:  Be sure to clean your stamps after using pigment pads to get the ink out of the etching and preventing staining your other pads with pigment later.  To make details pop and prevent smearing, you may choose to emboss your design with powder and a heat tool (or just use the heat tool to speed up drying).

Tip: If getting ink on the back of the card when sponging bothers you, fold the card before doing the top, then unfold when you are ready to begin stamping. :)

Supplies:
Gina K. Designs Fabulous Frame (frame and butterfly), Fabulous Frame Fillers lace and dotted borders, belly band and dotted oval) Fabulous Holiday Fillers (greeting)
Gina K. White premium pigment pad
Gina K. Pure Luxury Black Onyx cardstock
Sponge dauber (or paper towel or cosmetic sponge)
Petaloo Darjeeling Collection butterfly

Optional: heat gun, white or clear embossing powder, scratch paper or sticky notes for masking

I was *hoping* to show my new stamp set coming out this month in today's video, but that will actually be next week! So mark your calendars!  Gina K. Designs/StampTV release party and new product in store on the 15th at 7PM CST!  My sneak peek video even coming sooner! :D

Have a great day and hope your week is off to a fabulous start!
