Happy New Year!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and are looking forward to making 2015 your best year ever!  Lots to catch you up on, but right now I am heading out to track some steps on my new Fit Bit!  I have already lost 2.5 pounds since I strapped it on last Friday.  What a difference tracking all your activity and what you eat makes.  Love it!  Recommended. :)

Just a few pictures to share though since it's been awhile, as a Christmas gift, my son Jonathan bought me this stocking kit with his own money, so I'd "have a fancy stocking, too" (like the ones I'd made from Bucilla kits when each of the boys were born) and then we worked on it together the weeks leading up to Christmas.  Beyond special to me.  It turned out great!
Next: my bestie Carolyn King sent me this beautiful arrow bracelet (Stella and Dot), so this is on my other wrist, reminding me: ONWARD.  No looking back. March towards your goals and dreams!  (At least that what I think it means) ;)

Finally, here is photo of our tree, which for a good bit of the month had a "tail", see?  For Sadie's second Christmas, she was a really good girl and never tried to climb it or knock ornaments off, but with the low hanging branches, it was the perfect place for her to hide and jump out to grab our ankles as we walked past and then disappear again before we even saw her.  Usually she'd be fully covered, but sometimes like this she'd give it away...  Now that she's "all growed up" the chaos of unwrapping Christmas morning seemed to freak her out a little, but she found a nice quiet spot on the wrap around the corner from the action.

ONE WEEK UNTIL OUR NEXT GINA K. DESIGNS RELEASE, MARK YOUR CALENDARS!  It's been months since we've had a release party and I am really looking forward to next Thursday to share my new set and chat with all of you. LOVE THIS NEW SET!

More soon.  Big hugs!  Would love to hear from you about anything special about how you celebrated or what you received!

  4. Thanks for sharing your Christmas. We have not had our family Christmas yet, but will do so Saturday. But we did enjoy an overnight visit to a daughter and her boyfriend in W. St. Paul, MN Christmas Day.

  6. Beautiful pics! Great stocking! Funny how cats like to sit under Christmas trees. Ours used to do that each year, but the branches on our tree were higher, so he would just blend in with the presents.
Happy, Happy New Year to you and yours!

  8. Happy New Years back at ya' Melanie. I got a Fit Bit too and Love it! I lost 5 pounds this week but I have a lot more to lose than you do. I'm anxious to see the new set! I can hardly wait. Love the stocking and the pretty bracelet and that's so cute how Sadie hides under the tree and lays on wrapping paper. I bet she brings everyone lots of smiles.
