Inspiration Hop: Sending Love StampTV Kit

Good morning! The Cast and Crew for Gina K Designs welcomes you to another fabulous blog hop celebrating the new Sending Love” StampTV Kit. We hope to inspire you with a variety of different techniques and styles used by our Design Team featuring the stamp sets and patterned paper pack from this new kit and that
that you enjoy these beautiful card projects as you hop along today!
Please enjoy the gorgeous inspiration samples from the team and then comment on each blog for your chance to win a $20 Gina K. Designs gift certificate! To see who won, check the Big News Forum at StampTV on Thursday, 4/21.

The first set in the kit is called, “Art from the Heart”. Art from the Heart features an eclectic variety of images and  greetings depicting crafts, art, shopping and Gina's little Village Paper & Ink Shop! I used Red Hot, Black Onyx and Grass Green for the blocked background.  I colored the petals and stem and leaves with red and green markers before stamping, and then lifted a little GKD Grass Green and Red Hot ink from the ink pad lid for a more blended look with my water brush.
Forgive my poor attempts at "quilling", but that's where I was going to make a little heart to match these pretty petals! To do the curls, well, you need longer, thinner strips of paper, I just used heavy Red Hot GKD cardstock. I first created two tear drops the way you make a quilled heart, but they kept popping apart (needed some better adhesive) so in the end I just folded one strip in half, rolled the ends and pinched the middle to a point. it's custom, not perfect, but definitely "handmade" with love!

Get out your real pencils  (Spectrum Noir Essentials collection) for some doodling at the ends of the pencil image and then color the barrel of each pencil to match! I love it!

I better never lose this pencil stamp!  Too many fun things to do with it. Sunshiny day! :)

The second set is called, “Sending Love”. Sending Love features spring flowers and butterflies, perfect for watercoloring, Copic markers, colored pencils and more!
The only thing that makes this corner vine flourish better, is this flourish times 2!  Corner to corner like this makes a wonderful background for framing up all your greetings, big ones in this set included! GKD Turquoise Sea, Black Onyx and White cardstock are included in the kit. I used Gina's stitched oval dies and the inverted scallop oval dies to make the label.
It also has this fabulous huge border for coloring, embossing or stamping tone on tone three times like I did here, almost like a gorgeous Cuttlebug background!  Love these tiny vines with the buds as an accent, and always, butterflies!  Make a matchy match envelope by stamping it on the flap!

This kit also includes beautiful coordinating cardstock, patterned papers, colored envelopes and pre-printed greetings and patterned cardstock sheets for die cutting, coloring etc! The new “Sending Love” StampTV Kit is now available in the “What’s New” section of the Gina K. Designs store.  Be sure to get your kit before it sells out!

  17. Oh my! Melanie you are a true inspiration and your creations are awesome. Quilling is a crafting skill requiring a lot of patience - not one of my qualities that is for sure. You can get pre-cut quilling strips which make it easier than using card stock. You improvise well with your little heart embellishment and like you said it is handmade and made with love. Thanks for all your tutorials. I get tons of ideas from your designs.

  18. I echo what others have said here about the loveliness of your samples. One tip about quilling: cardstock is much too stiff to work well. I recommend paper that is roughly printer weight. I bought a ream at the office supply store of multi-colors and I cut strips using a hand-cranked paper shredder. I also sometimes buy pre-made quilling strips from the craft store, but the printer paper is a great inexpensive option. :-)
