Video: Introducing This Girl Is

Hey, everyone! The release is almost here!  Have a video for you early, because I am headed out of town for an adventure with my 13 year old son!  Sorry to be missing the party, but this camp was planned and paid for before Gina picked the date! I know you'll have a wonderful time in the StampTV forum on Thursday, with the rest of our designers and Gina, and Theresa will be sharing some cards I've made with my set in our release chat thread! The following week, we will be doing a 2nd dose of inspiration in our inspiration hops on Monday and Tuesday!

Today, I created a quick video for you before leaving to show you a peek of his fun new set!  It has the beauty and theme of my previous and coordinating Women of Faith set, but with more whimsy.  I am having a ball creating with it and I know you will, too! Lots of really cool, out of the box ideas with this in videos in the weeks to come! Enjoy this first of many!

  1. Nuts! I won't be able to attend the release party. We will be at the hospital having Josh's re-evalaution to get him back on the liver transplant list. He's been Status 7, which means that you take a break and it can be due to anything from pneumonia to anxiety. You have no idea what I'm talking about! lol! My 16 year old son has end stage liver disease and needs a new liver.

This has nothing to do with your new stamp set. lol! It was just the reason I will miss the party. I am so excited about this new stamp set. What I've seen so far is so pretty. I adore the first card you showed us. The butterflies are just right with the mostly black and white card. I wonder how long it would take me to lose them on the floor? :) I hope that some of these will fit into the Inspiration Mosaic!!!

    Have fun at Camp!
    Blessings to you,
    Shalal

    1. Thank you! I love the idea of them in the mosaic, but have not yet tried them together. Would be terrific!

  2. Ok, I have a couple of questions. I do not use masking very often. Hardly ever. If you want to make a mask that can be re-used, is it okay to use card stock, or would that be too thick to get the ink on?

    1. Good question! Yes, the thicker the paper the more of a "skip" you'll have next to the imsge when you stamp or sponge over your mask. To compensate for the width of the paper, you can cut slightly inside the image outline OR back it up just a hair inside what you are covering and then sponge or stamp over, does that make sense? You can savr your mask with the set and get many uses, or there is a thin eclipse peper for masking that is bit sturdier almost like it is laminated if you want one longer lasting, but copy paper does the job, it will just get very inky over time. It's so worth makung them for the almost magical looking things you can do with and I'll show more examples. Hope this helps!
