Lord of the Season Blog HOP

Are you all ready to (blog) hop?? Originally I had a "nice" card using three of Nina's "Lord of the Season" topiaries for today, but I wasn't hopping up and down over what I created (and I don't think you would have been either), needed something a little more "wow!" for the hop, and hopping made me take a second look at the spring topiary...and I realized I could make a fluffy little bunny! The omission technique of inking up just parts of the image you want to use with a marker or ink pad and adding a few small details with a pen will get you there...
Ink up just the butterflies and topiary ball outlines, skipping over the parts in the centers, and stamp. Then doodle some ears, a face, paws and feet, and a little grass underneath to ground it. The space in between the topiary balls is covered by a little tied ribbon.
I colored it with Copics and matted it onto two Cosmo Cricket Earth Love DPs and Pure Luxury White and Sweet Corn CS. The stitching around the edges is created by stamping the zigzag image from "Hip to Be Square" inked up with Memento London Fog. "Hoppy birthday!" greeting mounted on the fancy tag is from "Just So Hoppy". Last I added a little paper flower and a button from the Autumn Button Assortment.

GinaK is giving away the set on her blog today, too, so be sure to stop there as well as the other designers joining in on the hop tonight:
