Here is a side view so you can seethat gorgeus glaze she added to the flowers and leaves...
I love this reminder that the crafts we work so hard on are not just meant to be cards that are read and then thrown in a drawer, but proudly and prominently dipalyed! Slap a little stand on the back and it's not a card, it's ART! :)
"The frame is 3.75" square. I recycled some cardboard from computer boxes. I Cuttlebugged a piece of mustard cardstock, sponged all edges in Rust Ink then distressed them. I die-cut the biggest frame from Fleur de Lis and adhere to the frame. I also die-cut a square white piece and stencil it. Added to the frame with foam tape. Finally I stamped the sentiment and image, colored it with Copic Markers, and covered it with Crystal Lacquer. After drying, I cut it out and popped it up on the frame, then added pearls and ribbon."
So how's that for recycling/repurposing? You don't even need to buy a frame to put your card in, make your own! (We're surrounded by card board!) And backing the artwork with thick cardboard gives it lasting durability, weight and permanence, great for gifting...
