Forgive me for not posting for awhile, we are just up to our necks in end of school activities, field trips etc for the boys, but it has been fun an exciting. Today is Jonathan's 5th grade promotion and picnic, where did the time go? Lots to catch you up on!
I have not completed my video yet for these cards I made with
Stately Flowers 6, but I wanted to go ahead and show them now so you can get buys creating,
with Father's Day a few weeks away. These can both be made under 10 minutes! After photographing, I wished I'd done a
Dusty Sage or
Warm Cocoa base, but I was really trying to keep supplies for you to a minimum. Pine cone is stamped in
Dark Sage and
colored with just two Copics, E43 and E37, on both cards.
This second card uses the
Inspiration Mosaic, stamping the
Stately Flowers 6 pine cone over the frame, and then using a spotlighting technique that is covered in my new book
Fabulous Stamped Frames (this project is not actually in the book, just the technique, demonstrated with other sets from my frame series.) Isn't that a great look?

Beautiful cards! Love the simplicity look of them, BUT they are not simple cards by any means! The layout on your 2nd one is amazing. Looking forward to seeing your video! :) Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteWhat awesome cards. I really like what you did and love that big frame image with the spotlight card idea. But I am concerned that I may not have the strength in my hands to handle such a big stamp as that frame. It seems the arthritis gets worse as I age. Oh, joys of these golden years! LOL But maybe I could use smaller open images to create a similar look!

ReplyDeleteThese are just awesome! Am just catching up on all my e-mails! Congrats on your new book!! I was wondering if you could offer some tips or do a tutorial (when you have some extra time) on how to get an even edge on the frame stamps. I have tried stamping directly onto the paper as well as laying the paper onto the stamp; and it is always a struggle to get it even. Thank you for designing such beautiful sets and for all your advice! :)
