Typhoon Texas! (and BOGO for Dads this Weekend)

Good morning!  Just a heads up, William and I were thrilled and delighted to preview the new Typhoon Texas the week before school let out to see all the awesome additions to the water park in Pflugerville, so I wanted to tell you a little about it!  This is the first time we've been to the location in the evening and it was so relaxing, with the live music playing at the band stand and cooler temps.  We checked out all the slides and lazy river we enjoyed from previous summers, but the main attraction (for us, anyway) was really the enormous multilevel water playscape, with kids and families in mind, but my tween and his buddy and I had a blast running up and down this thing, and getting wet, wet, wet!
Seriously, in addition to the huge constantly filling and dumping bucket that will rain a deluge on everyone in the vicinity approximately every 5 minutes (check my perfectly timed pic above just before the water hits!), there are sprayers, soakers, guns and pouring curtains of water at every turn, so staying cool is no problem!  What makes this playscape extra exciting is there are 6 or 7 different slides branching off the different levels, so if you want to play tag or hide and seek like us there are multiple quick exit and escape routes, with no waiting in line! Obviously, it's way better to slide down than use the stairs if you can!  There are also cargo nets, bridges  and towers which give you lots of safe but fun challenges and hidey holes if you are playing a game.  It's also in the center of the park, so easy to find, or find stray family members!  The lazy river goes right by so you can check in on the littles!  Here is William giving me a wave!

We also really enjoyed all the Texas names and theming! Check out this new adventure if you are in or planning to visit the Austin area!
