Today's peek uses Rupa's newest set from Gina K Designs, "Easter Blessings". This card uses one of my favorite images from it.
I colored the cross and vine with Copics. The white layers you see are White Diamond CS from Paper Temptress, the shimmer is amazing! I used my Scor-Pal to score a "cross" behind the cross image and then scored diagonals out to the corners and edges that appear to be radiating out from the cross's center, this little detail really adds to the beauty and symbolism of the card (click the pic to see the closeup). The rich, purple patterned paper you see is from Emily's new "Rich and Shabby" Digital paper pack, available for purchase this Thursday. To recreate the flowering vine, I wound the SU! 1/4" celery grosgrain over and around the mats, tacking it down in a few spots with glue dots and then adhered a few white sateen flowers I accented with a little yellow Copic and some tiny adhesive halfback pearls to the centers. Wish you could see it in real life, it just looks alive!
