A woman who works with her hands is a LABORER; a woman who works with her hands and head, a CRAFTSMAN; but a woman who works with her hands, her head and her heart is an ARTIST. ~ Louis Nizer

This Little Light of Mine!
Wow, what a party last night!! I was so busy getting ready for it I didn't have a nice long draft of a post today, although I've got about a billion samples made up with all our new sets LOL! Here's a quickie post with my "A Charmed Life" set and a tulip from my "A Year of Flowers" , omit the wine glass stem from the new set or mask it off , draw in a quick wick and you have a little candle! Greeting is from Gina's "Heartfelt Hits". The "wax" is paper pieced with GK Pure Luxury Ivory CS(vanilla candles are my favorite!) and I added a layer of a acetate over it to make it look like a glass votive. Sponging gives the card a nice "glow"
I'll be back with more later, I am SO excited about this month's set and this month's tip sheet, be sure to check out the full "A Charmed Life" set reveal, it has so many options I didn't even begin to discuss or make samples for yet! Have a great weekend, I'm off to spend some quality time with my little boy today, he's been very patient while Mama's been stamping this week! Thank you everyone on our fabulous Gina K Designs design team and THANK YOU all the fans who turned out to the party!!
Hugs! cheers!!

What a great card - and I love that saying (love that song...) The party was a blast, can't wait to see what else you've got to share with us! FUN, FUN, FUN, YEAH, YEAH, YEAH
ReplyDeleteWhat do you use to adhere acetate or vellum? I've not come across a good adhesive yet for vellum. And I love the paper piecing idea of this set but need to know a good adhesive to use.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great set Melanie! I love how you created the votive holder from your wine glass. What a great idea. Thanks for sharing your creativity.
