Week 2 with Giovana

Today we have a more clean and simple design from Giovana with "Buds and Vases", using the script block from Gina's "Botanicals". Oh, does this bring back memories of the first stamped card I EVER saw demoe'd , with a bunch of flowers and a script background at a workshop seven years ago, I thought it was the most beautiful thing I ever saw and was instantly hooked on the craft! :) (Fast forward to the present and someone is making a similar card incorporating one of my own designs, what a blessing!)

Anyway, what a fabulous design for a wedding or anniversary! The script is the love chapter from 1 Corinthians and the roses add just the right touch of beauty and romance! Change the greeting, and the script with the flowers becomes a classic and elegant design for any occasion. I love how she used colored ink to match the roses for the script instead of just black , using this block of script on the middle of your card is a terrific base for a single layer card, adding a "layer" without needing to mat or use dies! The popped up flowers with the colore version of the same image behind the cut ones add so much depth, and the placement of the button with the tied bow is perfect: your eye just travels down in a Z over the card left to right and back again, then ending with the greeting, Gorgeous, Giovana!

Coming up tonight, a blog hop with the GKD design team!
