"Her Name was "Lola"..."

she was a show-girl!" We don't have to call her Lola*, I just couldn't resist the cheesy lounge song!** How do you like her fish nets?? For these, I colored her legs with a flesh Copic and then made some hatchmarks with a black pen, went back and did a little shading on the sides. (Doesn't she look HOT all tarted up in red??? )

I used my coluzzle to make the big spotlight focal point and then some coordinating DCVW "All Dresssed Up" DP to make the stage "curtain" and loud casino carpet! (Vegas, baby, VEGAS!) Playing around again with the kickstand concept here, the star was fun, so I thought I should try a circle, too. ;)

* I LOVE reading all your name suggestions, keep them coming! I'll have to do a little poll... :)

**or "Because we can CAN-CAN! Yes, we Can CAN-CAN!" (Moulin Rouge, my favorite movie)
or, "Whatever LOOOOOO-la wants, LOOOOOO-La GETS!" (Damn Yankees)

  1. She looks like a Sylvia to me, but . . . LMBO you really made her look kinda cheap in fishnet stockings. HA Too funny, girl! (but then again, I have never been to Vegas) :) Kel

  2. I voted something different and then went to see Donna's blog. Now I am intimidated by her. But there is something I would like to send to you. Check your mail.

Back to the card. Ooh la la... Nice job with the curtain and her fish net stockings.

  8. Your fabulously talented ostrich is obviously an actress who can play any role and is headed for an Oscar at the Academy Awards or a Tony on Broadway. How about Meryl Peep? Or Queen Ostrich-ifah? Or Fanny Rand (wasn't there a stripper with the ostrich feather fans)? Love her flair, she has great style!

  14. I love this one! My Mom's name was Lola. As for more ideas, when I look at her I think that she is in a race. "And their off!" comes to mind here. So a race card could be cute especially with all the walks for causes and marathons. Just an idea. :)
