Gingerbread Peeps and PCP Sketch

Here is a card made with my new "Have a Cookie" set (now available for purchase from Gina K Designs! and what a great release party last night, thanks for all your cookie support!) :) I used Susanna's first sketch for the PaperCraft Planet Sketch Challenge, and I'm only 7 days late! (but I have a REALLY good excuse, see, I was on this big BOAT Saturday...!) I thought this was a perfect layout for these cookies because on a white circle they look like they're hanging out on a little plate...

I created both the Caramel background and the sprinkle background (which is what my counter looks like after a serious decorating session!) with images from this one set only! (How many can you find?) The Creamy Caramel background is sponged with Close to cocoa, gives it a nice golden baked look or reminiscent of brown paper wrapped baked goods, the sprinkles are all colored with Copics, a few covered with a little Stardust Stickles or Sakura Glaze Pen.

My gingerbread couple is accented with Christmas Red and Gold Stickles. The little silver adhesive half balls are dead ringers for the silver balls you sprinkle on cookies! ( I found them at Hobby Lobby.)

There will be a new sketch challenge posted tomorrow (Saturday, a new one every week!) at PCP, this week hosted by Wendy, and it's going to be a beauty, I hope you'll check it out and play along! I'm off to whip something up for it myself :)
