Good morning! Thanks, CardMaker, for featuring me again on the blog, be sure to check them out today! We have some really exciting things coming up with my "A Year of Flowers" book: Gina K will be sharing a video tomorrow, February 7th, showcasing the book and a project she made following one of the step by step tutorials, but using a COORDINATING set instead of the "A Year of Flowers" set, I can't wait to see it! (I'm thinking she may thumb through on camera to give you a few extra sneaky peeks of what's inside!) :)
The Gina K Designs team will also be hopping that day (full link list shared here) showing samples they've created with all of the stamp sets I've designed that coordinate with "A Year of Flowers" stamps (and there are many!) I'm looking forward to getting inspired with some sets I probably haven't had time to play with in awhile, too!)
Today I thought I'd share card that I *started* making for the book, what I *thought* would be a really sweet boy or gender neutral baby card, before realizing I'd forgotten to incorporate one of the planned techniques (and almost none of the stamps, just the ladybug (crawling around the circle), no flowers) OOPS! So... I didn't use it obviously, this is the first time I am sharing (and glad I remembered it!) I used Gina K Pure Luxury Red Hot, Black Onyx and Kraft for the base and pierced the holes with the Scor-Bug embosser. Greeting is from "Basket Blessings".
However, I really like this layout and colors together, and I also used the "Crazy Daisy" digital patterned paper, my first foray into creating a digital paper pack to match my stamps!
These are super fun prints for spring and summer, and the white pattern and white daisies can be colored in so many ways to make new color combinations! The colors included coordinate with the following Gina K Pure Luxury Cardstock colors Red Hot, Wild Dandelion, Little Boy Blue (used in the card above), Lovely Lavender, Key Lime, Innocent Pink and Black Onyx. Three of the quarter sheet prints from this pack are used in one of the "A Year of Flowers" book's projects (May section)
Please come back tomorrow to see Gina's video and blog hop with our team, I will let you know how you can get the "Crazy Daisy" digital paper pack (quarter sheets) FREE (a $3.50 value).
Thanks for visiting, see you tomorrow!
