Oh my... I know where my birthday money is going!! My Dad, aged 90, still gives me birthday money :o)!!I am buying the stamps; Year of the Flowers, Pressed Flowers, Buds and Vases and Melanie's book. Happy Birthday to me !! Love the roll technique. I learn so much from your videos.. thank you so much GinaCongrats Wanda, please contact me within 48 hours with your address and the floral set of your choice! :)
Good morning, and thank you for hopping along today with the Gina K. Design Team!! If you arrived here from Gina's blog, then you're right where you should be. She's got a video on the book you don't want to miss, the perfect start to day's hop! The inspiration for our hop came from my new book called, A Year of Flowers.
While you can make every card in the book with the all occasion “A Year of Flowers” set, the team’s samples today showcase their favorite images from my coordinating floral sets from Gina K Designs, which can also be used with the book's tutorials and designs, and provide endless options and more value for your money! Some of the sets you will see in the hop today are:
- A Beautiful Life
- Arranged with Love
- Buds and Vases
- Festive Frame
- Holiday Basket
- Pressed Flowers
- Say It With Flowers
- Spring Basket
Find out how you can win one of the coordinating sets of your choice at the bottom of this post (plus a free gift for everyone who helps spread the word!) Don't miss out on getting your very own copy of the "A Year of Flowers" book which you can purchase HERE!
My sample uses "Buds and Vases", this set is one of my favorites because I love having so many options for putting my flowers in (pot, vase and jar) Today I used the vase and took my inspiration and technique (masking) from the first card sample in the book ( which is also featured on the cover). I used the same color Copics and cardstock and made just a small adjustment to the layout since the combined images made the white mat a little larger. Adding the Passionate Pink layer balanced the colors on this sample better (since most of the bright colors are at the top of the mat unlike the sample with the tulips and lilies where it's all over.) Sentiment is also from "Buds and Vases". For someone like me who doesn't like to spend a lot of time thinking about what sketch to use for a card (and also happened to be short on stamping time this week!) I was really thankful to be able to just open the book and work from there, not a lot of thinking involved!
Here is the sample I showed yesterday that uses the blue quarter sheet from the "Crazy Daisy" digital paper pack. This sample is not in the book, but the digital patterned paper you see here are used in one project...
Would you like to win a signed copy of one of my coordinating floral sets of your choice? Leave comments along our hop today to enter, the more comments you leave the more chances to win! I will draw a name randomly from one blog and post the winner tomorrow morning.
Hope you're finding some great inspiration and wonderful designs to get your creativity jump-started! You can find the newest stamp sets and lots of wonderful accessories in Gina's Store. And then join us on Stamp TV for the challenges and surprises and crafty videos galore!!

ReplyDeleteI have a mac with safari and when I tried to follow your blog through feedburner it would not allow me to. It said that my computer or network may be sending automated queries and to protect users can not process my request. Do you know why? I would really love to get all your updates since you are one of my fave designers for GK!
