I bent the flowers with my fingers to curve the petals and adhered them with foam dots. TIP: Cut in between the petals along the lines to get a little closer to the center so the petals will separate more. I wish the photo captured it, but I also dded some Sakura glitter pen to the centers and then blurred it with a water brush, so all the petals are very sparkly in real life! Adhesive pearls are in the centers.
My color inspiration for this card was the new Pure Luxury Wisteria Lane Designer paper pack from Gina K Designs (but I had not yet received my paper when I was stamping this, had only seen online.)
Since I was already finished, when it arrived I just had to find a way to work in one of the pretty purple prints! :) Card uses Pure Luxury White, Black Onyx, Lovely Lavender and Wild Heather cardstocks.
Next up we have a new girly sassy set from Tami Mayberry "Girl Talk". These new sentiments will definitely speak to the girl in you! I like that she included a girl with glasses, this looks like a few ladies I know (who wear glasses fabulously I might add!) ;)
I colored this one to look like my long time friend and neighbor, she'll never give up her glasses for Lasik! Cardbase is Pure Luxury Kraft. Now this might look like a lot of layers, but...
...it's actually just the cover of the new Gina K Pure Luxury Casual Friday designer paper pack! I love re-purposing patterned pack covers that already have the different colors and patterns cropped together, might as well use them! I cut it just to the left of the writing and planned to cover up the logo in the center of the label with the stamped image.I colored the image with Copics, using B39 for the border, then my C-1 Copic going in circles over the border and out to blend and pull that darker blue color into the center of the label to give the corners and scene some depth. I used C-3 under her hair, and paper pieced her sweater with some of the wonderfully textured looking "sweater print" in this pack to match.
I used a Copic brown multi-liner also to do some faux stitching, taking inspiration from the DP and just continuing the border I like how it goes off the one side instead of all the way around...Hopefully, you can tell this Gina K designer paper has a nice sheen, the glossy finish is so pretty!
Enjoy hopping with the rest of our Gina K Designs team for more inspiration with these new stamps! Leave comment along the way to enter to win a grab bag full of Gina K stamp images, the more you leave, the better your chances! Two winners will be randomly chosen!
