Do you Believe in Magic?

This was my first time to ink up Rupa's little fan from Many Happy Re-turns (I've had a couple ideas flying around in my head(sorry, couldn't resist!) one I need to locate the right embellishment to pull it off (still searching)) Here I thought it would be fun to have it spreading some joy out into the universe blowing a bit of happy stars from Jumping for Joy, isn't that festive? It's a pretty simple card, but I love how it turned out.

I used my SU! markers to directly on the rubber to get the different colors and stamped off to get the different shades(and fill my space twice as quickly!) Stamp a few stars trailing off the outside of your mat( I chose to use a Nestie circle since the fan is round) and accented them with some Stampendous star stickers (and the greeting), I am just loving these as accents!

To make the fan blades appear to be turning(Re-turning?!) stamp it twice and then cut out just the four blades, keeping it connected in the middle where the little circle is. Poke a hole through the center of it and the same place in the whole stamped fan to attach them together with a brad. (Although it doesn't spin freely, you can turn it by hand if you want, it depends how tight the brad is. The center is kind of small so I could be careful doing that as it could start to bend tear over time) I purposely offset it from the stamped fan so that the blades would be a little bit off, again adds more motion! I used my fingers to gently curved the blades out. This looked really cute, but it needed a little more to complete the illusion, so I got my "whoosh", also from Jumping for Joy, and stamped it above and below the fan, doesn't that little thing get it whirring?! If you look closely these lines have the slightest bend to them so you want to be sure to stamp them so they follow the arc of motion. (You can tell which way it's going when you're looking through the acrylic block, I just stamped so that it was parallel with the curve of the fan) I think this whoosh is such a fun stamp to have any time you're ready to get other stamps in your collection movin'!

A fun thing to write on the inside would be "from your (or I'm your) biggest fan!" :)

PS Notice the plug trails off the edge, and is "totally unplugged" (but still working! Because it's magic... ;) Have a magical day!
