Guest Designer: Jennie Harper

Today I have a card to share designed by Jennie Harper, featuring "Inspiration Mosaic" and a stamp you probably already have from Gina's "Eclectic Summer"! Isn't this a beautiful scene she created? I love how she did the moon and the greeting! What a fun idea for this quote from the mosaic set! LOL! Vines are from "Tropical Flowers".

Here are some questions I had for Jennie:

FAVORITE TECHNIQUE- I really enjoy paper piecing and lately
sponging. I can't resist picking up another large sponge dauber every time I go to the craft store...can you ever have enough?

COLORS/COLOR COMBO-My favorite color combinations are brown and pink, but brown and any color is just wonderful. I have also been on a monochromatic kick lately and love various shades of blue together.

FAVORITE GINA K SET BY MELANIE- Narrowing down a favorite set of Melanie's is about impossible! I LOVE Inspiration Mosaic! Since I received it I cannot seem to put it down. I honestly think this is my favorite (but I have said that before.... hee~hee, LOL!). Wee Tees, Just So Sporty and Sporty Accessories are also my go to stamp sets.

FAVORITE GINA K SETS (FROM ANY ILLUSTRATOR) I would have to say Take Flight from Gina K. herself...just love the butterfly, but Many Wishes is a close second.

CRAFT SUPPLIES I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT: It would be difficult to paper craft without my large sponge daubers, glue dots, Tim Holtz scissors, ribbon and buttons. I am sure I could add a lot more, but these are a must have for me!

I'VE BEEN STAMPING FOR (HOW LONG): I have been seriously stamping since 2005. Before that I stamped occasionally, but nothing serious. Now my day isn't complete unless I get a smidgen of time to stamp, I think I am hopelessly addicted to this hobby!

I GET MY INSPIRATION FROM the gallery at Stamp TV, as well as doing as many challenges as I have time for. The challenges themselves really stretch my creativity and that is always good. I have also been inspired by gift wrapping paper and magazine covers.

THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS I'VE LEARNED ABOUT STMAPING/CARDMAKING ARE to allow the mess-ups to become something better. Sometimes when I am ready to throw something away because it isn't "working" I will set it aside in my scrap pile and 90% of the time I will find a way to use it later.
I have also learned with scrapbooking to make each and every page unique. A two page layout doesn't have to match up. Each scrapbook page is designed in it's own way and I am not limited to scrapbooking my photos in chronological order, but by what inspires me at the time.

SOME OF MY STAMPING/CRAFTING GOALS ARE to be published in a paper crafting magazine, but I think I have to actually submit before I
could be published, LOL! I would also like to be on a certain
design team (but I am sure no one could possibly guess which) but hey, one must dream BIG and for me that is HUGE!

FAVORITE THING TO MAKE THAT AREN'T CARDS~ Never thought I would be a scrapbooker, but I would have to say scrapbooking. I like to incorporate stamping into my scrapbooking because it makes each page just better! I use to think scrapbooking was boring until I realized every page could be like a card, just on a bigger scale.

SOME OF MY STAMPING/CRAFTING ACCOMPLISHMENTS ~ I was featured in the first Stamp TV Center Stage group in April and in June I was selected to be on Gina's Center Stage Spotlight Design
Team. Both of these opportunities were very exciting! Then shock
of shocks, Melanie asked me to be her Guest Designer for this fabulous new stamp set Inspiration Mosaic which is such a fun stamp set. I am honored to have this wonderful opportunity :o)

Jennie will be guest designing for me this month so there will be more projects featured here weekly, as well as some projects on her blog today, please check them out and leave her some love! :)
