Whatever is TRUE

Good morning, I hope you had a terrific weekend! If you are coming over from the CardMaker blog, thanks for visiting! The past few days I have been stamping for our new Gina K Designs release as well as preparing for a blog hop Thursday, so I don't have any cards I can share just yet, but please scroll down to see some designs I've done with my latest floral set "Stately Flowers 3"! For today: I am SO glad all you readers enjoyed "the list" I shared a few days ago from Girlfriends in God, it reminded me that I have been meaning to share another terrific resource I received from my mentor in Bible Study last year. She printed out cards for each of us from a site called True Campaign.org that each have an affirmation on one side and scripture (from different translations of the Bible) on the back that I keep on my mirror, fridge, wallet, car etc, so throughout my day (in these strategic places where I am prone falling into traps of temptation, negative thinking or doubt) I am reminded of what is TRUE. They show another side of beauty, identity, and body image, and you can print out these cards, too, in color or black and white, it is a free pdf. (I also recommend checking out some of the videos on their site, many of you might remember the one sponsored by Dove a couple years ago that shows the "magic" of photo retouching to understand how magazine standards just aren't real life!)
I hope these bless you the way they have me! Please share with your children and girlfriends! I can't share them all today, but I think I will share them one at a time with you in case you won't be printing them out. This one pictured (front and back) is not the one I read most often, but you can tell from the edges it is well loved. :)

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
Philippians 4:8

I actually memorized this verse for the first time two summers ago with my kids at VBS. It is one I repeat often, and it has really changed what I now choose to read, listen to, etc. (For the better!)


Finally, thanks everyone for all the feedback over the weekend about my posts, very helpful! I will take it all into account, but of course I suspected (correctly!) you'd all have very different preferences, lol! So, I will try to change it up to give you a little bit of everything and incorporate different methods of listing materials, directions, etc in the way that makes most sense (and what i have time for!) for that particular post.

  2. Absolutely love that you're sharing scripture on your blog. What a neat avenue for ministry....one viewer at a time...and only God knows what will come of it. The Word of God is living and more powerful than a two-edged sword... :)

  10. Phil. 4:8 has been my scripture focus for the past two years. I usually pick a scripture to focus on each year, but this one has proven more difficult for me than I ever dreamed it would be, so I carried it over into this year. I'm in so much pain so continually, that it's really easy for me to get into a horrible mindset, grumbling and angry way too much (as if ANY isn't too much!). So I keep trying. Thanks for the reminder!
    And thanks so much for sharing scripture on your blog. Since Nina, Rupa and Asela have stopped illustrating for GK, I haven't seen any new stamp sets that include scripture. I really miss that! It would be so neat if you'd fill that gap. I'm not trying to pressure you, but I am making a plea. The stamps made by companies that feature scripture just aren't as well made as GK's so it's hard for me to convince myself to buy them.
    I can hardly wait to see your new stamp set(s). So excited for the release!

    Lynn, so sorry to read about your chronic pain, I will pray for you. I wanted to let you now, I have two sets from the past that you may or may not have sent hat include scripture: The Vine and Wild at Heart. I have more complete that will be coming out soon and actually my set that comes out next week has some, so I hope you like it! (Oh BTW, Rupa is still illustrating for us, just so you know! I'm sure she will continue to sprinkle scripture in!) :) Thanks for saying such good things about the quality of GKD stamps!

  13. Thank you for sharing those wonderful scripture verses. Many times I have to be reminded that God's ways are infintely better and higher than my ways. I am always humbled how God uses different areas of my life to remind me just how much He loves me. Your ministry has blessed me this day in ways you can not imagine.
