My son Jonathan has played two seasons of Fall soccer, and the Spring registration form arrived in the mail today. It reminded me of this little card I made for him and each of his teammates and coach last season. This is my original design, check back later for a little tutorial on how I made it. Basically half a sheet of cs cut lengthwise and scored in half like you would for an A2 card. I pierced the details and embossed MVP from the Sporting set. I ran the strips of CS through my crimper for the stripes, and wrapped clear scotch tape around the ends of the twill tape to make the shoelaces. I used my cropodile to make the holes for the twill. I love how when it's displayed partially open it looks like a pair!! And, if you son or daughter is anywhere near my son's age (5), the "shoes" are actual size! :)
Oh my goodness(OMG!), this is such a cool card. I bet your son and teammates were all smiles when they received this "most valuable" keepsake. Thanks for sharing, Melanie. Keep the creativity coming!
