A Pet Owner's Work is Never Done...

BWAHHHHHHHHHHHH! This Kindred Spirit Sara is the first stamp in my collection with a vacuum! So it got me thinking about vacuuming* , and then my eye fell on Rachel's dog**... :)

I thought I might ink up just the dog or stamp the whole thing and cut him out, BUT I realized the way it's drawn, you can just snip him out of the corner to use him separately, and stick him right back in when you want him back next to the fridge, ala GinaK!

I bought a TON of Fun Flock to use for my hippy and hoppys but hadn't really broke into it yet. A great way to get really good coverage for him but not lose the details is to smear a bunch of glue in a shape/size a little bigger than the dog, cover with fun flock***, and after tapping off the excess, stamp the inked dog image into it(stamps great over the flock!) I cut him out and moutned him at the corner. Then I used a glue stick to make some swipes around the vacuum, but not behind so it looks like she's made a nice clean path! :)

That big smile on HER face? Well, she either has a grateful heart and loves having a pet to clean up after, or she sees a light at the end of the tunnel to this endless hair removal and is planning on sucking up the dog today****!! I LOVE the look on HIS face(guilty!/unsuspecting?)

Supplies: Wild Asparagus DP; DCVW textured CS; Papertrey Stampers Sleect CS; SU!: Choc. Chip CS and Satin Ribbon, EE Brads, Circle and Scallop Punches, Aquapainter & WWC; Burnt Umber Palette Ink, Pale Aqua Copic for outlining, Gina K Bling, Gina K stamps

*which I never do, having hardwood floors

** we don't have one, but the couple I nannied for had two BIG ones, and that poor woman swept her kitchen EVERY! day!

***The Caramel Latte Flock has a nice "golden retriever" sheen :)

****which I don't recommend

  3. you've got that right but I am usually not smiling when vaccuuming because 1, I'm the only one who manages to do it and 2, my DMIL has so many area rugs & crap (I mean junk) that I have to constantly move things to do it *sounds bitter, huh?* VERY cute card, though!

  5. Ummm, can you see into my house now? I have a Golden Retriever, and cork floors. The good part is that the floors are also golden retriever colored. This means I now NEED these two stamps. Sigh. You're an enabler!!!
