Although I have enough inspiration and ideas for my stamps to post a new card every day, finding time to make one on some days is a challenge*. But it occurred to me get creative(yeah, I know!) and come up with some other ways to still give you some interesting stuff on days that I don't. First I realized you have not seen everything in those baskets!! (Some are current SU!, some retired, some have elements that have been CASED(but now I will NOT remember exactly from whom, and I hate not to give credit when credit is due). Some are old (and not so great) but maybe this is valuable/interesting to some to see what my work USED to look like/how it's evolved? as well as see some things/techniques that were so trendy then to do but are now "so five minutes ago"! (When you're card hoarder like me you'll find cards can look just as dated as clothes in your wardrobe! But if you hang on to them LONG enough, just like clothes they can sometimes come back in fashion!! ;0) And you'll also see a lot of quick cards, that were maybe not so fabulous because I just didn't have much time ('cause you know I'm proud to be a lazystamper!)
(The one above I made when Doodle That and the spiral punch had just come out from SU!, quite awhile ago! emeraldj had the brilliant idea to make an entire alpha with the images and was kind of enough to share on SCS, so THAT is not mine! But I did make up this little "faux clipboard" card. The doodles just make me think of goofing off in class(not that I ever did that!), so I used an A2 sized piece of Chocolate Chip CS and my corner rounder to make the "board". Then cut two sheets of white (Mat size) and punched with spiral punch to make my notebook paper. I attached these with my little colored paper clips form the Target $1 spot(don't go look, these were from a year ago!) You can write your message on the page underneath, the recipient just lifts up the first page and reads. Fun and easy, eh?
Other ideas? Please let me know what you'd like to see/see more of here! I'll try to accommodate if I'm able. I know I enjoy seeing a funny cartoon or particularly funny link to visit when I do have time to "blurf", so I think I'll be adding more of those here. Also family anecdotes along with pics, and other non-stamping related tips. I'm a huge bargain shopper, so I think I'll be sharing more "finds" as well.
I'm at "99" today-woot!! (high five!!!!) The climb to the "top" and maintain position is a precarious one, friends, before I'd even finished typing my post about cracking the top 100 the other day, I went back to link the site and saw I was back at #101! DOH! LOL!)
Munchy** #4: My new releases sets coordinate with each other. Yes, there are TWO sets, (Carolyn commented in another post of mine she couldn't "wait to play with my sets!"(set(s), that was the clue! She's SO excited about these new stamps I designed she blabbed important design team scoop!! Nah, just kidding***, Carolyn, waving at ya! hugs!). The blog candy prize is ONE OF THESE plus a few goodies to get you started right away!)
Gina K's sneak peeks start tomorrow!! Will mine be one of them? or will you be waiting til Saturday or Sunday to see? Only Gina K knows for sure! (You're gonna love ALL the new releases, don't worry!)
* Other days I have what we called during my recruiting days "pending-itis"(can't work because you're just waiting to find out if your deal went through) Whenever I'm waiting or new stamps to arrive, it is very hard for me to stamp with anything I already have, I'm just dreaming about what I WANT to be making with my new rubbah! (and stalking the mail man!) But maybe now that I'm on a design team, I should call it "release-itis"!
** "Munchies" are the tasty "treats" I'm passing out(organic, no calories, no trans fats!!!), one per day, about my new stamps to nibble on until the Gina K release on the 10th (a few have asked me, so...gotta go back and read the last few now, don't ya?) :)
***kidding she blabbed, not kidding about her loving my new stamps!! and I love hers, too :)
