Amy Johnson said... Happy New Year. I had a huge New Year's Day Party yesterday, so I wasn't able to get on-line till today. I love your frame of your son's name. I think your animal images are my favorite of yours. I just love them. My biggest blessing in 2008 was good health. I was sick for half of 2006 and all of 2007, so to be completely well in 2008 was such a blessing.
Congrats, Amy! Please email me your addy and stamp set pick, I will let Gina and she will ship it to you! :)
Let me be the first to wish you a Happy New Year! Thanks for stopping by my blogaversary celebration and one year anniversary of illustrating for Gina K designs, I hope you'll spread the word about this week long celebration and goodies giveaway (the more the merrier!) and join me every day this week! This year I have been SO blessed, and I'm so happy to be able to share my love of this craft with you every day, and thankful you all keep coming back! YOU put me on the Stampin Top 50 map and I hope to say there and keep moving up in 22009! I have lots of exciting things planned for us and for the blog this year, some you'll hear about this week, can't wait! (Actually been completely distracted the past couple days putting finishing touches on sets coming out later this year you will LOVE, but more about those later!) ;)
My first post I'm sharing a simple project I made for my younger son for Christmas: his very own name frame. (Remember when these were really BIG a few years ago? are people still amkign them as much?) I grabbed several of these frames at the Dollar Spot awhile back and they have been a dream to have on hand whenever I need a quick personalized gift for someone. I dug out my old SU! Headline Alpha* and stamped his name in Brilliant Blue, Summer Sun and Real Red letters(he actually requested orange, green and purple but those colors are nowhere to be found in his train -themed room, so I had to exercise my executive veto power!:) The majority of my releases were animals sets the first half of 2008, and I'm sorry I haven't been playing with them as much the past few months, many of you have asked, so I'll have to do something about that! Many have also asked "when are you releasing more animals?" that's a good question! So many sets, only 12 months in the year!! we'll see...)
Instead of masking in the animals, I strategically placed some of the "skinnier" ones(sorry, hippo!) between the letters where they had room to fit and cut out the hippo to place in front of the name. These pint-sized animals from "Hip Hop Accessories", my 5th release, are the perfect scale for these letter and size frame. Adding a few little balloons (which I placed dot my "i's"and butterflies from my 2nd release "Just So Hoppy" completed this storybook-sweet scene! Everything was colored with Box A Copics (BTW did you hear I'm giving away Copics this week?? ) plus one sketch marker and I made a little shadow underneath all the animals and the letters with Pale Aqua, it really finishes it off. I completed this project in about 30 minutes, they are one of my go-to projects for baby showers or kinds birthdays! :)
Crafty, Decorating $$$-saving TIP(NSR): Now that 2009 is here, all those pricey calendars you've been seeing everywhere are on sale!! I wanted to do a train theme for William's room last year when we transitioned him out of his crib, and I found a "big boy" train calendar with beautifully photographed trains at Border's for only $1 last January! Buy 12 frames in one color or accent colors (these were from IKEA, $2 each) and create groupings with all the pages, your walls will be done in no time! :)
Now! for the prize: My first blogaversary sponsor, has to be, of course, Gina K! Thank you, Gina for being the best boss/mentor/friend I could ask for, your company and this opportunity has been one of the best things that has EVER happened to me! Now! Please leave a comment on this post telling me which has been your one of biggest and best blessings this past year (craft related or other) and you will be entered into a drawing for any stamp set from Gina K Designs valued at 19.95 or less, thanks Gina for donating this prize! (It doesn't have to be one of my sets (but if it is, uhh, don't tell me LOL! (you probably have them all, right??)) Winner will be drawn randomly and announced here on my blog Friday night, January 2nd!
Tomorrow I will be sharing a new sample and a new prize to win! But come back later today, becuase I have another post!! (I know it gets hard to read one long ginormous post!!!)
After leaving your entry, you can find more samples using my sets today from Cindy Lawrence, and Donna Baker, fellow Gina K Senior Design Team Members, and Jessie Rone, Dirty Girl and past guest designer for me! Thanks, ladies!!
*If you don't have a large stamp alphabet, you can print out a perfectly spaced named on your computer! :)
Happy new year to all! We're still 2 hours away here on the West Coast. The frame idea is such a good one and so easy (!) to do. I also liked the use of skinny images to avoid masking (still not too good at that). My biggest blessing in 2008 was probably family health. We had some scares (a heart attack and diabetes-related stuff) but everyone is doing ok now, for which I'm very grateful.
ReplyDeleteHeartfelt blessings to Mel, Gina and everyone else out there!
My biggest blessing this year has been my puppy!!! I got him from a rescue on Mother's Day....how perfect! He's been such a wonderful stress relief and joy in my home!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats Melanie, you are truly one talented lady!! Thanks for including me in your celebration, I am honored!! ReplyDeleteMost certainly my most cherished blessing this year is my first grandchild, Emily.
ReplyDeleteHi Melanie,
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to all. It's 1:18 AM on the East coast.
My biggest blessing in 2008 was the birth of my first child, Alexandra. We call her Lexi. She's just so amazing, beautiful and adorable. A little miracle, which I am most thankful for.
my blessing...a kodak computer cord that I finally found and which enable me to take pictures of the things that I dont need which I then sold online and used the money that I made to buy the things that I really wanted. I encourage you all to do this, it is a wonderful, liberating feeling, turning junk into the things that you actually want
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! My biggest blessing in 2008 was the love and support of family and friends. With them you can get through anything.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win.
My biggest blessing is that my baby is OK. He almost died last week, he is perfectly back to normal now thank goodness, I think that may be the biggest blessing of my life except the blessings that brought both of my boys into this world in the first place.
ReplyDeleteHappy 2009 Mel. I'm so very happy for your success, but it wasn't without a lot of hard work on your part. May this new year bring you continued success and creativity.
ReplyDeleteMy biggest craft blessing has to have been the opportunity to attend the last two CHA events. While those, in themselves, are great fun, the best part about attending CHA is getting to meet so many crafting friends that I had only known through on-line forums and message boards. Actually meeting so many talented and creative people has truly been a blessing, and I look forward to more opportunities to meet even more of my crafting friends in the future, as well as meet up with some that I haven't seen in a long while.
Again, Happy New Year!
My biggest craft blessing this year was discovering Splitcoast Stampers. My stamping had come to a halt and the wonderful inspiration at Splitcoast got me going again. I love papercrafting and stamping once again.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year and congrats!
Oh my. I made quite a few name frames a couple of years ago but none came close to how beautiful yours has come out.
ReplyDeleteI have had many blessings this year but my biggest is having a new extended family join us.
Mary

ReplyDeleteI LOVE your name frame! It reminds me to get out those frames I bought for name frames-- and never used. Time to try them out!
ReplyDeleteMy biggest blessing is God's faithfulness and provision in trying times. It's been a rough 2008, but He has been there and seen us through. AND of course my most amazing husband, who is my dearest friend, supporter, helper and the best DH around (and we've been married for ALMOST 30 years!)
Congrats, Mel, on your excellent blogaversary and wonderful sets!
My biggest blessing this year has been my Grandson. He was born in December of '07, but this year has been phenominal with him! He has brought such joy into our lives.

ReplyDeleteLOve the candy! I have been blessed in 2008 with 2 grandsons from 2 different families. They are such a blessing in our lives...we love our grandbabies.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year
Happy New Year to y'all!! It's only 9 p.m. here but you'd think it's midnight already with all the fireworks and aerials going off. 2008 was a year of constant turmoil with health issues, death in the family, economic fears...all the normal stuff. But I'm just grateful and so very blessed to have my family and friends and the Lord in my life. I believe 2009 will test our strength, belief, intelligence and perserverance and we will prevail. MarilynY
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!! We're a little less than an hour away from 2009 as I type this. I still make name frames and LOVE them! I buy the frames whenever I find them 'cause they do make wonderful personalized gifts. Your frame for William is fantastic, by the way!
ReplyDeleteOne of my greatest blessings in 2008 has been the health of my youngest daughter. She's had more than a few health issues this year, culminating in appendicitis just last week! Praise be to God, she's home and healing tonight. And so we're entering 2009 HEALTHY! Woohoo!!
Wishing you and yours abundant blessings in the coming year. :)
Happy New Year Melanie! Congratulations on your blgaversary! That's just great. My greatest blessing has been growing in my faith and having friends and family that love me, encourage me, and challenge me. My greatest craft blessing has been finding blogs like yours and learning more about the art of stamping so that I can bring cheer and comfort to others. Thank you for inspiring me to do more.
ReplyDeleteHappy 2009!
Kristina
Happy New Year....my biggest blessing for 2008 and for years to come would have to be my 2 healthy, happy well behaved little boys. I love them both so much.
ReplyDeleteMy blessing comes from the wonderful people I have met through stamping.
ReplyDeleteThat name frame is just TOO CUTE!
ReplyDeleteMy biggest blessing this year was the addition of 2 shih tzu puppies to our home. They make us laugh by the things that they do and they show and accept love so easily.
2009 is fast approaching here on the west coast.....it's 11:20....so let's say goodbye to 2008 and thank God for all He is and all He has done in 2008!
Happy New Year all and God bless!!
My greatest blessing this year was the ability for my husband and me to retire from our jobs and my daughter has been able to see a Migraine Specialist who is helping reduce the amount and severity of her headaches.
ReplyDeleteHappy new year and happy blogaversary.
Hi Melanie,
ReplyDeleteMy biggest blessing this year is as follows: One year ago yesterday (New Year's Eve morning) I awoke with a paralyzed right arm and hand. I'm right handed, too. I had had a TIA years ago but it wasn't that because the problem persisted. After seeing a few doctors and having some tests done "they" said I had the equivalent of a pinched nerve. I was told the nerve would regenerate at the rate of 1 inch per month, and that's exactly what happened. Around May I had total use of my arm and hand again! Believe me, I was truly blessed and know it!
One delightful blessing has been the encouragement from my stamping friends...what a group!Congrats on your blogaversary!
ReplyDeleteJan
Happy New Year!!! I love this idea. I want to do something special for my kids for our "mini christmas celebration" when we get to our new home in Italy, and this is the perfect idea! I will have to pick up a couple frames before we leave (since there aren't any Walmart's in Italy!) and take them with me so I can make them coordinate with their new rooms. Once thing that I am so blessed with from this last year, is my family. The kids and I needed a home while I went through a very difficult pregnancy and my husband was in Korea, and my Mom and Stapdad took care of us. That is just ONE of my many blessings from this last year.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!!
ReplyDeleteMy biggest blessing in 2008 was turning the big "50". The best part was that I was able to reach that milestone in ITALY and on that day my DD competed in a Track and Field competion in Formia Italy and jumped her personal best in High Jump (1.51 meters) It was TOTALLY amazing!
Happy New Year and Happy Blogaversary Melanie!
ReplyDeleteBiggest Blessings - Learning to Live with Joy through a very lean & difficult year (rediscovering my inner thrift) - Finding a wonderful Church Community and having my sister move to the same state so we can visit in a day with no planes to the coast involved and finding a wonderful online community of creative and generous crafters and artisans.
Thanks for saving my year everybody and for sharing your own faith so freely!
May your New Year be blessed with joy, love and peace through each and every day!
Happy New Year Melanie :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful project fro William :) I did one years ago but with wooden letters - took my ages to do!
My blessing for 2008 was my Mum finally reaching her 5 years since cancer surgery so thus making remission :) She had a VERY VERY hard time and they didnt expect her to live through the operation let alone all the challenges on the 57 days after.
Happy 2009
Heather Vanilla Hevn
My biggest blessing this past year has been my grandaughter. She is now 14 mos. old. My son and daughter-in-law were married 11 1/2 years when she was born and there will probably be no more grandchildren.
ReplyDeleteMy craft blessing has been that the Lord gave me the ideas and stregenth to make about 40 cards each month for the shut-ins and nursing home patients that belong to our church.
Happy New Years!
Welcome to the new year Miss Melanie. Biggest blessing is partial family get together after 17 years.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary and a great New year to come!!! Your ideas are so creative and to be published in a magazine is way too cool!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy greatest blessing is my 3 year old granddaughter, whenever I'm not feeling the best, she always brightens my day. The other good point is she "loves stamping" with me..I hope it is something that we can continue to share.
Thank you for continuing to inspire us all with your talent!!!!
I just got home from my New Year's party (it's about 3:00), and I had to check in on some of my favourite blogs. Your letter frame for William is adorable! Thanks for sharing some fantastic inspiration. I can't wait to come back for the rest of your anniversary celebration. Congrats on you blogging, and designing milestones. You should be proud!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you as well! I am happy to say that one thing that blessed me in 2008 was the opportunity to go on the Cruise w/Gina, Em, & Nichole. I got to meet wonderful and amazing women from all over, and learn lots of fun things from the awesome sponsors. I will never be able to thank them all enough :)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! May every day bring new Blessings into your lives.
ReplyDeleteEvery year, I thank God older family members are with us and pray they are with us next year. This year, I am also grateful our son regained his health after 5 months of illness and numerous hospital stays.
Happy New Year and blogaversary Melanie.
ReplyDeleteMY biggest blessing has been our puppy Harvey. He's filled a huge gap in our lives since my sons have all left the nest.
We love the bones of him.
Viv xx
Happy New Year! Wishing you and your family all the very best in 2009. May the year be filled with wonderful things for you! My biggest blessing is the fact that we all survived 2008 without any major problems or calamities. That's saying a lot for our family! We are all in great health considering the diverse ages in our family. I hope we continue to have the same type of year in 2009
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! One of my best craft blessings this year has been the discovery of blogs...especially craft blogs. I have learned so much more about papercrafting and stamping and have been so inspired. A wonderful new world opened up for me.

ReplyDeleteAs far as my blessings this past year goes... well, there are many. As you know my family has had a rough year and has suffered quite a loss.... but my biggest blessing through it all is my family and friends. Happy New Year and congratulations on your bloganniversary. Great achievement. 2008 was a sad year losing five of our elder family members, but in other ways blessings abound. Obviously crafting, starting my own blog, meet much super bloggers and making friends with so many rates highly, but celebrating 44 of marriage and still loving this man so much, must be the biggest blessing for me.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your hard work - look forward to rest of the week. ikki

ReplyDeleteMy biggest blessing this year has been my husband. He has been my strength through some tough times.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! :)
My biggest blessing has been to be able to use my left hand again, even though it does not have much feeling in it. I am left handed and developed paralysis in my left hand and arm in Feb. One surgery later, some physical therapy, and my determination (I am hard headed. lol) I am able to return to the papercraft/stamping world I love so much.
ReplyDeleteMy biggest blessing was opening my own real estate office. I have had such wonderful opportunities.
ReplyDeleteIt's a good life!
Terri E.
Mel thanks for showing us your son name it is so cute.
ReplyDeleteMy biggest blessing this year was my family. 2008 was a horrible year for us all.My husband has had serious health problems,my son-in-law was hurt on the job back in March and has been fighting to get benfits since then. They lost their home and had to move in with us. I know because of God we are all together and that 2009 is going to be a better year.
May God bless each and everyone of you for this 2009.
Happy 2009!! As for my biggest blessing this past year, I don't think I can even begin to narrow it down. I am so blessed in so many ways and I thank God every day. I have a healthy happy family (including extended), a nice home, a church family I love, a craft room full of supplies and lots of friends. What more could I ask for?
ReplyDeleteOur biggest blessing of 2008 are the two kittens my husband rescued. We tried to find a good home for them, but it seems they were meant to live with us and our 3 year old cat. They are the sweetest little things, even the vets are amazed at how good they are. Some things are just meant to be...
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on all your accomplishements. i have followed your blog for a long time and love your creativity.
ReplyDeleteMy blessings for this past year are many....the best I guess would be moving to a bigger house, a better church and fulltime work that has eternal value for my dear hubbby. God is so good!

Happy New Year and Happy Blogaversary Melanie! You are one talented lady-- and a generous one too! My greatest blessing this past year has been the health of my just-turned-one year old little boy. ReplyDeleteWelcome 2009 and let the memories begin...
My biggest blessing in 2008 was the return of my oldest daughter after her being away from our home for 2.5 years {she rebeled big time} expecting a new baby and a fiance!
It took a while, and much pray, but I am thankful she is with us. I even adore my new son-in-law-to-be...
God knows best, we just need to step back and watch HIS miracle unfold.
Not only did she return, she got baptized, and joined our Church PLUS this month our first grandson is born and her fiance gets baptized... Thank you LORD!
Blessing to you all as you have blessed us blog 'groupies' - Marilyn
Biggest blessing to me has been the grant we recieved for our boys to go to Catholic school. Last year we weren't able to send our oldest son because money was not ava. but the school went and did research and the church pulled together and we applied for a grant and were blessed to get it! This year our youngest went into K right along with our oldest to a school where its all about love and learning and really feels like a family. It truly has been a blessing :)
ReplyDelete-Ellie

Happy anniversary!!! You are such an inspiration. Thanks for letting us all celebrate with you.
ReplyDeleteHi Melanie -
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your anniversary! I think one of the best blessings we've had as of recent was having my dad here for Christmas (he's from another country) and having numerous delays with flights due to weather (thanks to the snowstorm in Chicago) he was able to be with us for the holidays. He was my Christmas present - he's in good health and was happy to be with us for Christmas. It was my first Christmas with MY family (any family) since I moved to the USA so it was great!
Brenda G.
Cute frame and Happy New Year! I think one of my biggest blessings has been learning how to blog surf - amazing projects and tutorials for all different crafts.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy seeing your beautiful artwork and have bought several of your sets of stamps.
ReplyDeleteI am new to your blog and have added you to my reader.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your ideas and inspiration.
My biggest blessing has been family and friends that have supported and continue to support us through difficult times. The year 2008 brought many medical problems and death to our family...but God, family and friends have been faithful. We are blessed.
My biggest blessing this year has been my blogger friends. I look forward each morning for my cup of coffee and my blogs. By reading the blogs, I have improved my stamping. Thank you Melanie and congrats.

My family is safe, sound, and healthy! All of the mid-west floods, ice storms, and tornados have missed us so far! Hubby and I both have jobs, even though mine was cut to part-time (which means I have some quiet craft time during the school day).
ReplyDeleteI am blessed with a wonderful son and daughter-in-law who have given me two beautiful grandchildren. My DIL is my cohort in our stamping passion and we share in the the love of this craft.
ReplyDeleteMy biggest blessing I have is the continued love and support from my family. The love that comes from them sustains me through whatever life has or will be thrown at me. I thank G-d for them every day.
ReplyDelete:)
Happy New Year & Happy Blogaversary to you too, Melanie. Love all your ideas & look forward to new ones in 2009. My biggest blessing for 2008 is Health. My husband & I both have recovered from serious illnesses & I still have my eyesight. Looking forward to a great 2009 with family, fun, & paper crafts. - Marlene
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! My biggest blessing this past year is probably the friendship of my 4 girlfriends. They are always there and allow a space to vent about daily life, in order to keep on functioning! Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteMy biggest blessing was the birth of my first grandchild on Dec 17th. This was a very long journey for my dd and her dh as they had several miscarriages before this birth. He is our little miracle baby and is just so darn adorable. His name is Stryker and that would make a great name frame! Have a wonderful year ahead and I can't wait to see what you create! darlene
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!!! Congratulations on your blogaversary, I just recently found your blog and I absolutely love it. I just found SCS and began stamping in April. I met a good friend locally through SCS and have learned a lot... so that is my biggest craft related blessing. :-)

ReplyDeleteHappy New Year and congratulations on your anniversary. My greatest blessing this year was the birth of my first grandchild. The name frame is adorable--just might have to make one for her room.
ReplyDeleteMy 3 little grandchildren are my greatest blessing, and the fact that they are all healthy and happy. Since I've had to battle cancer twice within the past 5 years, I no longer take good health for granted & I feel truly blessed for every minute that I'm able to enjoy my adorable family:)
ReplyDeleteLindaSS
Happy New Year! I would have to say that the biggest blessing this year was watching my youngest son as he grew each month. He is my second and I think I was so crazy with my first I didn't really get to enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year and Happy Blogerversary!!!
ReplyDeleteWilliam's name frame is adorable.

My biggest blessing of 2008: my family! They pulled together while I was somewhat incapacitated all year (not-so-fun back issues), even the little ones. They rock!
ReplyDeleteLove the framed name!
ReplyDeleteMy biggest blessing in 2008, and every year prior, has been my two wonderful kiddos! They are my joy and treasure!
Happy Blogaversary! And hapy New Year. I think the biggest blessing I have had this year has been the fact that my dh has been able to keep his job. There are so many lay offs where his is due to the economy. I only hope the blessing continues this year. I think also it is a true blessing from above that my family is healthy and well. Of course I want that to continue for many years to come!
ReplyDeleteHappy new year everyone. My biggest blessing this year was actually starting to stamp, it allowed me to meet new people in the community we had just moved to and gave me a break from my 2 year old when i really needed to recharge.
ReplyDeleteHolly
The best things that have happened this year are #1 - my gramma's heart surgery went off without a hitch, and #2 - my hubby's cochlear implant was a huge success. My whole family made it through this year to celebrate Christmas together. Who can ask for anything more?
ReplyDeleteMy biggest blessing was just getting to spend time with my nephew and hearing him say "I Love You" to me and just hearing him say my name
ReplyDeleteI am happy to join your blog, you are so talented. I am happy at this time for my employment, since I am the bread winner for our family. After loosing my 13 year old daughter 4 years ago, I am thankful for my son who is now 13.
ReplyDeleteMy biggest blessing this year would have to be my mother's health. In September 2007 she was diagnosed with Lymphoma. After 6 months of treatment she was determined in remission in May 2008. In October 2008 she had another scare, this time with lung cancer, which turned out to be scar tissue from a previous bout with pneumonia. My mother is the person that cultivated my creativity from such a young age. I don't know what I would do if I lost her! Jennifer Martin, djjdmartin@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteWhat a year 2008 was!!!
ReplyDeleteI had many many blessings this last year, but one that sticks out is finally being able to turn my love of photography into a business! It's been a dream of mine for a loooooong time, but I guess the big guy upstairs finally thought it was time :)
Oh, and just a little thing, did you mean Friday Jan 2nd or Sat Jan 3rd?

(11 yrs & 7 yrs) I love to see that they are building their characters, follow through and integrity. You can't start to young these days.

ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Melanie. I am so excited to see what you have in store for us this week. I love that name frame. I've never done one before. I'm thinking it would neat to make one with your cookie set for the kitchen. Maybe instead of a name, a food type quote.
ReplyDeleteSo my biggest blessing this year I believe would be my job. I have the best boss a person could have and I enjoy what I do.
Happy New Year to YOU! I have enjoyed reading your blog and enjoy another year of your great crafty inspiration! My biggest blessing in 2008 was starting a job at my local scrapbook store. Hi Melanie, congratulations on your first blogaversary!!! Keep up the great work and may 2009 be your best year ever! I'm so proud of your work and all of the joy that you share with others through your art, energy and sense of fun and beauty. My biggest blessing this year has been the love and support of family and friends through a difficult year, and I also have to include your Year of Flowers set and the Peerless Watercolors that you gave me for my birthday. My inner artist is coming out at last! Thanks for your encouragement.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Mom
We had two huge blessings in 2008... the biggest was my husbands' safe return from his 13 month tour in Afghanistan... and the other was discovering, during her double masectomy surgery, that my 33 year old sister-in-law's lymph nodes were CLEAR. She's got another year of chemo, radiation, and reconstruction, but her prognosis was significantly improved with that news.
ReplyDeleteTrying to make my blogger work, and besides I forgot to wish everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! So many blessings to be thankful for. First of all my family and their support of my crafting which sometimes takes precedence over them! My friends who craft with me, and all the on-line people who are so willing to share their ideas and talents. I am definitely a better crafter due to them. THank you all! and congratulations on your blogaversary.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your creative ideas! You really are an inspiration. My biggest blessing this past year was the birth of my 3rd grandchild, and my daughter's health. Happy New Year! I think my biggest blessing this year is that my Mom is still with us. She was diagnosed with lung cancer that had spread to her brain. She was given 8-12 months to live, that's it. BUT she is still in great shape and we had a great Christmas and are planning to go to Las Vegas in February! We've had a very good year.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year and congratulations to u on your blogaversary!
ReplyDeleteSince I'm still studying I feel blessed when I get good grades. Also for all the friends I have all over the world due to craft groups that I am a part of and for the many blogs( including yours) which I check every day and feel refreshed and happy after seeing all the cards and other paper crafts made by everyone.
My youngest sister was diagnosed with colon and liver cancer just one month after my oldest brother died of liver cancer...she went through surgery and part of chemo. God intervened and miraculously healed her...she did not have to finish her chemo and was declared cancer free on Dec 15th...

Happy New Year, Melanie! Thank you for doing this. I love William's name frame. How sweet! We had some rough patches in 2008 with health, anxiety and employment in my family, so I'm thankful that we are past the poor health and anxiety and my husband feels strong and ready to find that perfect job. I am also thankful for my dog, Elsie, a cocker spaniel rescue. I got her in January after losing my canine companion of 14 years in August of 07.

Well Melanie one of biggest and best blessings this past year has to be my boyfriend! Yeah . . . love sick puppy here even after 2 years, but he really is. ReplyDeleteYou are such a talented woman. I think my biggest blessing in 2008 was finally finding peace with the fact that my husband and I can't have children. We both really wanted them for so many years and though we have tried numerous procedures none of them ended with us bringing a child home. After praying for years to become a mother I started asking God to help me find peace in whatever was going to be. I've finally found it. I think that is the biggest blessing I could ever hope for in life, not having regrets.
ReplyDeleteHappy blogaversary
