More Paper Candy for YOU!

So Patricia "the Paper Temptress" saw what a hit "the record project" was with you all (har har! see this post) and has generously offered to donate 2 more prizes, this time packs o' the Velvet Touch paper, which I used in that project (Black)!

Two lucky winners will each receive a five pack of each of the three Velvet Touch colored papers: White, Black and Ivory, for a total of 15 sheets of this fancy shmancy paper!

All you have to do is spend a few minutes browsing through the different types of specialty paper offerings at Paper Temptress (<-- click here! I know you all LOVE to window shop!) and leave a comment on this post telling us:
  • which of these types of papers you are most interested in trying,

  • which you want to know more about, and/ or

  • which ones you want to see samples/project ideas for on this blog!

I will draw two names and post the winners Thursday morning, Jan 15th! Thanks for your help! (looking forward to reading your answers!)

(Coming up: Monkeying around with Copics!) ;)

  5. I am an admitted paper addict. If my husband wants to make me smile, he doesn't bring flowers, he brings paper!

This being said, you have just invited me into a candy store and given me full rein. I would call that enabling, wouldn't you? LOL

I love all the paper, but I must say the glimmer and pop tones and all textured and double sided papers are my favorites.

Wait... I just chose everything didn't I? sigh.... okay, I will choose two...

Uhmmm, the glimmer paper (because I like sparkly things) and the double sided papers because, I get two bangs for my buck.

  7. I would love to see the Velvet and the Suede Papers. Any sample cards would be nice to see what they did with them. Once I had a Christmas Green Velvet and I did use a punch and punched out pine sprigs with the velvet and it looked awesome. That paper is nice and adds wonders to Christmas Cards.
    Thank You

I really liked the Glimmers- so soft and interesting. The plastic Touch would be a greatfor making men's cards. I am thinking cars, tires, etc.
Then there are the Sorbets- hope the cappucino and the cherry look as good in person as they do on my monitor!

I would like to see you do something with it. I would like to try out the ultra high gloss paper - I imagine it would be like glossy card stock - I would like to compare.
thanks for all the fun - this blog has been the place to be this year!

  56. I adore the columns paper. I would also love to see what you can do with the metallic colors - gold, copper, bronze, etc.(Incandescent, Glimmer, Metallic) in conjunction with Copics. They say they work great with the markers but we are not used to seeing Copics on anything other that white or cream. It is also very difficult to see what the differences are between these paper lines in the way they stamp, take ink, Copics, etc. One last comment - I find it very hard to buy paper on a price per page basis. I don't know why! I wish ALL the papers had some package prices. The basic cardstock offers a per page price for individual colors, but there is also a discounted price for a ten-pack of the same color. I would really like to see that kind of package pricing across all the paper lines!

    ReplyDelete
  57. I loved browsing the website. I would be interested in seeing the glimmer. the metallic and the iridescent cardstocks especially. They looked so beautiful. Thanks for the chance to win the velvet paper. It looks yummy!

It is hard to see the details of the cards in the scans. Maybe some cards made with the different shimmery cardstock can help me decide just what look I want when it comes to shimmer and shine. Thanks for the chance to win.

Also curious about the Abysse paper and the suede and plastic type papers.

More projects please and design tips incorporated in the explanations?

    Thanks Melanie!

Does anyone but me get words like butyrat or hiturin?

All the papers look interesting to try. I'd like to see how the plastic, velvet and glimmer can be used in diff. applications. Also, I'm always attracted to metallics, but then don't know exactly how to use them to showcase them.

  135. I would love to try, see projects made with and learn more about the glimmer, colored vellum, sparkle, and glossy papers. Ya, I know it's 4 instead of 3, but who's counting!

  136. I'd like to know more about, see, and try the Stardream, Suede and Velvet Touch papers - and methinks I'll send for some samples - TFS!

  137. Any papers with a name that makes you want to touch are interesting to me (velvet, suede). Also I have always like cards with vellum and the richness of parchment that gives a great texture.

  138. Ooh! It all looks so yummy. I'd love to try the Velvet and the double sided Sorbet looks awesome!

    ReplyDelete

  142. Okay...so I finally succumbed to the lure of the Paper Temptress and went to their website to look... just look mind you...

WOW! I am so visually overwhelmed!

Such beautiful papers - no wonder they call her the Paper Temptress!

I would LOVE to know more about the Glimmer/Metallics/Cappucinno papers - I am such a 'bling' girl!
    So, bring on the “bling”!

These cardstocks dress up any ordinary card and turn it into a masterpiece.

  146. All the papers sound great!I would like to know more about the Antique Parchment, Velvet Touch, Suede Touch and Cappucinno. Actually I would like to know about all of them! Samples of any of the above would be great. Love your cards and tutorials!

  147. I really like the stardream line and would like to see how these papers could be used to their best advantage.

  148. I'm curious to try the glossy paper. I've heard different theories on coloring (with copics, etc.) on glossy paper, but I'm afraid to buy and/or try, etc. I'm also really curious what the "sparkle" paper is like. I'd love to try it out. New paper is one of my favorite things to buy, but I'm often afraid to try new things.

  149. I vote for the Velvet and Suede Touch papers. I could see using Papertrey's new pet sympathy stamps with this for a great touchy feel - sort of like touching their pet. But, again, any paper I see that I don't have makes me want to try it! Can't wait to see more projects!

  150. I would be interested to see what you do with any of the papers. I especially like the iridescent, linen and pearlescent.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Ok, that was great. The textures, the colors, the designs. WOW!!!!

I think my favorites are the pop tones for the colors, the double side sorbet for the two in one, and the suede for the texture.

I would like to see things other than cards made with these papers, maybe 3D items, boxes, bags, etc.

Thanks for the chance to win.

  154. WOW, such a large selection. The suede, velvet, and linen would be nice to see. Any of your projects are always great to see.
